@@stevelacys No both of them. Remember, according to them, poor people aren't allowed to have fun, even though these poor people work harder than they do and these rich people spend thousands on the most worthless things.
@@mpeppermint23 so if your poor stop complaining about your lifestyle and have your fun. Don't cry to anyone when your 40 making $8 an hour.
I always hear about how minimum wage workers deserve to be poor because they spent money on video games or Starbucks. But when CEOs get paid $10M salaries, I never hear anyone say "they'll just waste it on a private jet or a third yacht. They don't deserve $10M salaries."
I didn't like the how condescending the female millionaire was to the minimum wage guy.

"you can make a machiatto at home" "it's funny how people can find money for things they want but not for what they need"
Because not everyone has a nice fancy coffee set up, also when you're not at home are we not allowed to get a drink that makes us happy? And yeah bish even low wage earners want to have some joy in our lives lol of course we find money for things we WANT while forgoing things we need. The money privilege is speaking đ
Coffee is not a life sustaining drug. Its not a must lol. It is financially prudent to save and buy the machine.
Making machiatto at home is way cheaper in the long run then drinking the most overrated and overpriced Starbucks Sludge. Also lets be real Drinking Starbuck is nothing more than status symbol and nothing but a waste of money. Being a minimum wage worker, we need to save where we can.
getting it every now and then is fine but you cant complain about not having enough money when you spend over 100$ a month on just coffee from buying it everyday. When you're broke you're supposed to make sacrifices lest you stay broke forever
People live on these incomes for years. You would have to give up all joy in life as a minimum wage worker to even really survive. Even going to school, you would have to go years and years not enjoying yourself at all. These millionaires couldn't dare. They most definitely waste money, and excuse it because their spending money is so much more than their bills lol.
This really shows my problem with "advice" from millionaires. They spend sooo much on stuff they don't technically need, and love to preach basic finance advice to people who are below the poverty line lol. I just don't see these people ever having that real struggle of not spending on ANYTHING enjoyable. Also spending all of that time saving and having some random event occur that knocks all of your savings out and you get to start the cycle all over again :)
They don't have to now, but most likely had to sacrifice things back in the beginnings of their careers
@@jinjunliu2401 You're basing that off of nothing - most wealth in the US is generational - I gaurantee they at least started at a very privileged position compared to most regular people, the idea that most rich people "earn" their money is absurd - how much of your wealth and luck is determined by nothing other than the zipcode you were born in?
@@ParadeofCrows Sure that might be true, I haven't looked into US wealth distribution. But I do wonder, do you believe that talent or intelligence is mostly innate or mostly something that's developed?
@@jinjunliu2401 Is talent and intelligence what gets you to the top in our society?
This comment really shows my problem with discussions around finances. Most people who currently make 6+ figures got their start from working minimum wage jobs or pursuing a college level education for years that set themselves up for the future. Millionaires don't just pop up out of nowhere, some have been through the exact same struggles people below the poverty line go through. And what's the issue with them spending their money how they please? You can splurge on "unnecessary" things and still be a great source of financial advice. One does not inherently cancel out the other.
This is one interesting topic
ur cute
I fcking knew Graham would instantly zoom in on any convenience spending like take-out đ
Gotta love the real estate guy whoâs parents âdidnât help him outâ. Dude must have some hidden pot of gold if heâs able to buy and sell properties from thin air
His first house was a run down place he paid 50k renovated it then rented it out.
He has something like 20 properties now he rents out.
No pot of gold needs to wise investments and frugality until things get going.
Not to be a downer. But it's so crazy seeing these prices.... My sister recently passed and her funeral arrangements roughly cost $30,000+ , and my family has no idea what we're gonna do. We can't even get her out of the morgue until we have that money. Meanwhile the rich just spent that on half of their salt water fish tank...
Iâm so sorry for ur loss, try to take her somewhere else. My boyfriend of 8 years just passed away February 12th 2002, n it was no where near that amount! Lots of times THR owners of funeral homes take advantage of those who are in pain going Thru a loss. I would highly suggest calling other places
This is why everyone thinks millionares are daddy's money and just put of touch
Thank you for being so close-minded!
You could hear in the voices of the minimum wage people that they desperately wanted graham to be a rich guy's spoiled kid. Their voice completely died when they found out he came from nothing.
The dude's first real job was real-estate investing. No one who comes from "nothing" just falls into that gig and becomes successful. He's seriously understating the help he received from his family.
Itâs really annoying when rich people tear on poor people. You canât tell a poor person to save money when they donât even make enough to pay bills. Also why tear on the guy for buying $4 Starbucks drinks when these rich people are blowing tens of thousands on PokĂ©mon and watches.
Bro they are buying the pokemon cards because THEY CAN. Also they appreciate in value. The Starbucks guy could more easily save some money and not struggle with bills if he didn't spend so much eating out and buying starbucks. It wasn't an occasional thing it was almost all of his money. That's a very fair critique that even another minimum wage worker would make. Yet for some reason you get annoyed just cuz it's coming out of a millionaires mouth even though the truth is the truth regardless of who speaks.
That guy said he DOESNT cook. There's no way to justify that when you're making that little. It saves you so much more money to cook food at home. His account doesn't have to be hitting 0.
Iâve had to learn the hard way myself at times.
For the coffee thing he can easily get a coffee maker and cut the cost in half and save money and also he works at Starbucks meaning he can get free drinks and food but he just didnât realize it
He could've also used that OnlyFans money and invested that into an HSA, ROTH IRA, Starbucks 401k, index funds, or even options/puts if you're ballsy đđđđđđđđđ
