Not really, judging from the little jiizou statues he's been carving, Akuma likely esteems himself as the harbinger of Death. And we last saw those little statues in 3rd Strike...
The sculptor from Sekiro does the same thing and he almost succumbed to his bloodlust and became Shura. It makes sense for the carving of the statues to be some form of meditation to remain human

Akuma got so much sauce
with ryu reaching that inner peace level fully eliminating the dark ado and ken experiencing frustration by things he cant control, i have a feeling akuma is gonna set his eyes on ken and we can hopefully get a violent ken.

I actually think Akuma trying to sell his ideology to more impressionable minds of the newer generation would’ve created some interesting story b telling opportunities. Like Sean, Sakura, Luke or even Mel.
Ken going broke trying to save a disgruntled son engulfed in the pursuit of outrunning his father’s legacy with the dark Hadou is what I was hoping for.
I mean Mel punched Ken in the balls in that one ending so we already know he had propensity for fighting dirty.

Akuma doesn’t look 198 lbs.
Basically.... He's the same size as Mike Tyson. Same height, and Mike Tyson was between that and 220lbs when he was a champion back when he was younger.
Yea idk what’s with the devs making so many characters look chunkier in sf6. Like zangief, honda, guile, ryu, ken, and Blanka are all looking way heavier than previous additions, and now akuma.
@@YMan-zo5kg I wouldn’t say they look chunkier, but my husband is built like akuma and he’s 285. At least get the stats right lol . If I was making the stats I’d list Akuma like 250 lol

I feel like teleport could be to avoid chip damage
Not sure how that helps because teleport is not invincible at all. Fireballs, punches, kicks--anything with a physical property can smack him during teleport.
They nerfed it. So you can't wake up teleport to avoid chip damage.
They even nerfed his demon blade (dive) kick. Cant combo off that.
That's actually kinda whack.
@@danielsmithiv1279 i think youve been mislead, the dive kick has combo ability ive seen a video divekick into cr mk onto tatsu
Ive been told teleport has i frames on initial startup but loses it fairly quickly during movement
@@danielsmithiv1279 they did however get rid of demon flips grab for a feint option, instead of using a late punch, so thats cool

Ryu is screwed, and the buffs I have heard he has received won't be good enough to bring him to a higher tier (the denjin buffs he will get won't be enough). I guess I better start maining with Akuma for now on for Ryu is now a rag doll for people to beat up. :D. At least Ken can handle Akuma thanks to his Normals. Capcom screwed Ryu like Lucasfilm screwed Luke Skywalker.
Ryu is fine now and he'll be better after the buffs. You'll be fine on the character unless you plan on going for the million.
Pretty scrubby to not play a character unless they top tier...
Ryu after buffs has a solid identity and unique playstyle. He'll be in a good place
