    I haven't had my first UX/product design interview yet, but I will definitely be coming back to this vid before I do. Remembering that interviews go both ways is a great, great tip! I always try to remind myself that, but I still get nervous lol. Thank you for the advice ❤

    I love that your question no.6 for asking who I will be working with and will I meet them in the interview process. I note the questions down. I always over prepare, and prepare a week ahead of time, and then up not asking the questions I was prepared, and the one I did not prepare sometimes went well. I also like you mentioned, if did not get it, it is not mean to be. And the best yet to come :) Thank you for the video Maddy!

    Thanks for the helpful interview tips.. How would you best answer an interview question on what is your weakness? Also another question on working with a developer and what was the challenge that came up and what did you and the developer or developer team do to reach an agreement. I was asked those questions before and I kinda stumbled on how to best answer them :( Thanks Maddy :)

    Hai Maddy, Could you upload a website ux design tips or tutorial or live editing video like you did for mobile app. It will be really really helpful. I hope you see this comment.

    I asked that question if I would be able to meet someone I will be working with in the next interview process, I think I definitely ruined my shot with that one so I wouldn't ask it. The only way you'll meet someone next is if you'll be advancing or you passed on your interview process and that question will sound like you're too confident that you "think" you passed.

    Hi Maddy. Thanks for the video! I have an interview this Monday and the tips you shared are super helpful. One question; how do you answer "What are your strengths as a product designer?" I feel it's a bit tricky and I fear that my response might cause my potential manager to box me in just one type of tasks or might reduce my chances of impressing them.

    • @MaddyBeard
      @MaddyBeard  Před 2 lety +1

      That’s awesome, good luck!!! And try not to think about it as impressing them and just be honest about your strengths! The purpose of this question is to see if you’re a good fit for the team that already exists. Maybe there’s a gap in the team and they need someone with strong UI / visual design skills. Remember that an interview is a two-way street. You can ask what type of work the role will entail and express that you don’t want to be boxed into just one thing! A good interviewer will ask what YOU are looking for in your next role :)

      @@MaddyBeard thank you this. Everything you've said makes perfect sense. I really have to work on the "trying to impress them" part tho 😅. Thanks again. Wish me luck!
