Yes. It's main work is to convert ac to dc. Since current capacity is same, it will not impact any output performance except some difference of potential voltage of different diodes.

only supply to AVR, because AVR convert that AC current to DC current, and control the voltage output of alternator like video said

if the voltage is not developing ,then there is no residual magnetism in it on that case you can give external supply through battery to develop voltage and there are also other reason for voltage not developing
