Love how simple and clear this was. Good work.

Nice guide, I never realized the values of the different resources. I always explore one new "level 1" site on the first round because I just think it's fun, but now that I think about it, it might not have been that great of an idea to do it so early. Thanks!

the problem I see in this game is that all the things you state are an early priority ie., improving your deck and researching w/ your book to get early assistants are only done at the expense of the other....you can't do both. I've only played this two player & it seems to me every one of our games end w/ the person who finished first in the race to the lost temple is the game winner. Admittedly, in a lot of cases it is done by virtue of the tiebreaker (which goes to person who wins that race) but it still feels OP to me & I don't like that. I guess I favor games where your moves aren't so scripted ie., that offer many different ways to win, w/ each being equally balanced.

I've won a decent number of games without winning the race by scoring more in my deck or from guardians/idols.

Awesome strategy guide! Curious how you got the information on tablets being worth 1, Spearheads being worth 2, and gems being worth 3? Was this based on the order they upgrade, or is this public information somewhere? Also, would you be interested in consulting on balancing a game I've been developing?

The first thing I did was check the campsites. You get 2 gold/explore/tablets, but only 1 arrowhead, so if the campsites are balanced, then arrowheads are worth 2. You get 1 gem, but you have to pay a card, which would have probably given you a gold/explore, so its worth 3.
Double check it using the research track. If the game is balanced, each option on the same row should cost the same. The first 2 rows cost 3, the next 5 rows cost 4.
You can also look at explore sites, items, artifacts, monsters, and bonuses. That is how I determined the value for removing a card. It's like solving a logic puzzle.
Sure, I've done balance consulting before. You can add aetherllama#5701 on discord.

Just found this channel, thanks, could you do some for Rising Sun, Blood Rage, Cthulhu Wars, in case you are familiar with those?

Yes I have Blood Rage on my list! I'm not an expert in the others yet.
