    Great explanation about the differences Paul! I've been debating a few years now about getting my first torsion tail and I can tell you it's quite intimidating when you look at the many options regarding TT's and truck choices. Don't know if it's possible but I think a lot of people would benefit from one video or chart explaining all of the pro's and cons (or feeling) off all the options in LDP trucks and TT's. I know it's really personal, but still a general idea would be great.

      Thanks! Yes it would be great to make a video with all that info. But first getting all that info, it can be a combi of all my videos. I need to shoot more this summer!

    great content, already purchased a modded bernett from you that i was using on my topmount board (great truck btw.) - but now i ordered a bossa rio and im going into TTX - so much fun cant wait !

    I’m so glad you got the audio balanced! Your voice was a good volume but the transition audio was too loud in comparison in some previous videos.
    Thoughts on the TTA/TTS/TTX vs the Insania/Delirium?

      Came here for this exact question. I'm days away from making a new build. My first bracket setup, and appreciate a surfier ride over straight line speed. Any guidance? Thanks!

    What does the torsion tail do ? What kind of performance improvements does it have over a DDS in the rear ?

  • @yungfuccboi6132
    @yungfuccboi6132 Před 3 lety +3

    So you're saying I can get either the surfy feeling of the TTS or the performance of the TTA just by switching out the center bushing? Sound good!
    I wonder how the Riptide Krank bushings would perform in the TTX.

    • @beernettskatesystems4185
      @beernettskatesystems4185  Před 3 lety +3

      With my setup I had this experience. A KranK bushings would certainly be a great choice. 👍🏼 I use a KranK 84a BS in my Beernett and I like it, so in the TTX it would be promising!

      @@beernettskatesystems4185 So I've been riding my TTX for a two weeks and I made an interesting discovery, the tall barrel that comes with the stock Bennett Vector works surprisingly well in the TTX (at least for me).
      Just thought I'd share that with you, you probably have some of them laying around :)

    Hey Paul, how come you're not getting any bite from the Glass Drop bracket using a Beernet 5.0 (127mm) and Caguamas (58mm wide)?
    I've tried to run a DT Poppy at 143mm with 85mm Seismic Speed Vents (52mm wide) and the similarly "fat" Carbon Feather V2 Longboard bracket and the front wheels were definitely getting bitten by the bracket on deeper pumps.
    The G-bomb site says "Regarding hanger width. Since the composite series a bit wider, expect to run hangers around 150mm width."
    Are you using harder duro bushings to avoid that, washers, or something else?
    Thanks for the great content, as always!

    • @beernettskatesystems4185
      @beernettskatesystems4185  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, It is probably my pumping style and bushing duro that helps. I noticed other people that also got wheelbite.

  • @simplcity
    @simplcity Před 3 lety +1

    Why do you use the Glass Drop if your angle is 13°? Wouldn’t the SDF be the lighter choice?

    • @beernettskatesystems4185
      @beernettskatesystems4185  Před 3 lety

      Hi Niclas. The SDF is lighter indeed. The Glass drop is slightly lower in ride height and sometimes I change the angle a few degrees. Also the Glass drop brings the truck slightly closer to your front foot which results in slightly easier pumping.

    Hi Paul,
    For people that enjoy a certain degree of surfiness, TTA and TTX don't seem like the way to go?
    What about the TTS?
    Although just seeing it's not available anymore?

    What is the difference between the Spherical complete and the Bushing complete for their complete decks?

  • @user-ji7id9sv4u
    @user-ji7id9sv4u Před 3 lety +1

    I don't understand what the point of having bushings in this truck.
    Aren't wheels fixed on the solid axel? The only moving part is endings of the fork, isn't it? So the only spherical bearings makes sense.

    • @beernettskatesystems4185
      @beernettskatesystems4185  Před 3 lety +1

      The bushings control the amount of Torsion and rebound that is available. Without the bushings you have the full Torsion that is available but for some skaters it is not the desired rebound that drives you forward. With one or more bushings you create more rebound.

    Another great video! How to combat the low ride/occasional bottom scraping when using a torsion tail when pumping ? I try to use technique, knowing what angles are too “deep” and will result in bottoming out...but I love those aggressive pumps!!! I am currently running 76mm Venom Cannibals, but I have tried Orangatang Caguama 85mm, but still have the same problem...is just the nature of the torsion tail to be low?

    • @beernettskatesystems4185
      @beernettskatesystems4185  Před 3 lety +1

      It worked great. Good pumping and nice wide pumps were possible. Personally I preferred the harder bushing because of the extra rebound but the TTX is more versatile and can serve a lot of styles and not only the fast race winning pace without a surfy feel 😉
