I love watching people's reactions who are new to Dimash. He will eventually become world reknowned. You are in for an amazing ride as you experience more of Dimash. How could you not? There are several versions of S.O.S., the Digital Show is a good one, too. I absolutely love Stranger, his live performance and the video with the wolves, too. Olympico and so so many more. Many genres of music, as well. His new music video release, When I've Got You, is different, and amazing! And what makes him even more special is his humbleness, his deep appreciation for his fans, the Dears, and his care for the world. Many vocal specialists say he is the best singer in the world. This is just the tiny tip of his abilities. Try more Dimash. 'Ikanaide' , 'Olympico', 'Stranger', 'Be With Me', 'Marigolds', and more and more. Dimash just had his 30th bday. Listening to Dimash is soothing to my soul. So much in fact when I had major surgery a year ago I mentally listened to him sing while they prepped me for surgery and as they put me under anesthesia. It worked! It kept me cool, calm and in a good mental place. Dimash is not only the best vocalist ever he is a consumate stage performer. While he delivers incredible vocals he emotes the intent of the song and carries his audience on a journey. There is so much depth in his musicology it is hard to describe because you can't buttonhole him in to one style or one genre.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) CZcams channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. Each performance will leave you stunned. Thank you for reacting to our Dimash from a loyal "Dear" (fandom name given to us by Dimash, because we are dear to him like his family). He has fan clubs in 132 countries.

I don't remember the exact time, but it was around the time that covid broke out. The feeling of being hit with something out of this world. I repeated this song for like two days, to just get it out of my system. Decided to stop watch only when I stopped having goosebumps. Five years later, they still attack from time to time. :)

I remember my introduction to Dimash in early 2023. I’m still hunting for my socks I was wearing at the time. The song S.O.S. is from Starmania, a French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and lyrics by Luc Plamondon. It debuted in 1978 with a studio recording of the songs, before premiering on stage in 1979. Several of its songs have passed into mainstream Francophone pop culture, and helped original cast members Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne to rise in popularity in France; it is now considered one of the most famous rock operas in French history.

I can’t say Dimash is the best singer in the world-I haven’t heard them all-but he is the best singer I have ever heard. No singer has ever affected me like Dimash. Try Stranger from new wave 2021. Dimash is epic. That song is in English. Olympico from Igor Krutoys channel, is in Italian, Igor wrote the song just for the voice of Dimash. I saw the performance you showed in 2017 on CZcams and was captivated. Watched Dimash every day since for a couple of hours every day. Been to three overseas concerts and going to both concerts in may, Budapest and Istanbul. Dimash has enormous stage presence and absolutely lives his fabs calls us dears as we are as dear as gus family. He is very much the humanitarian. I’m 79 and from U.K..

I cried at how beautiful his voice is and how effortless it seems for him to bring someone hearing him to such an amazing emotional response that cannot speak French. And now after seeing the lyrics translated on another video...I cry even harder because the lyrics are beautiful and haunting.
I was bawling when his duet with Placido Domingo came out. I was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of his voice. I think it took me more than 2 weeks of every day listening (multiple times) to finally stop tearing up.

Exactly. My first time listening to Dimash woke me (then aged 63 yrs) up from many years of severe post-traumatic experience depression. The impact was so startling I had an insatiable thirst for more and more. Six months after that day, I was embarking on the most incredible mind-blowing journey of my life to fly from New Zealand to Australia to Hong Kong and then travel to Dimash’s concert in Shenzhen, China. After the concert I flew to Kazakhstan and eventually met Dimash in his hometown of Aktobe (up near the Russian border) in 2018. My life was changed forever. My first time was this SOS performance nearly 5 years ago and afterwards I felt that I had forgotten to breath, I was crying without noticing and was so deeply touched by the pure beauty of Dimash's voice and the whole sound. And I still cry very often when I listen to Dimash, with pure delight and love and gratitude. And it's getting "worse" 😉, you will understand when you discover him more and more, Dimash is much more than the whole package... Looking forward to more Dimash, I like you a lot! ❤
You'll be glad to know his vocals have improved immensely since that early performance [seriously -- he honestly continues to get better and better steadily -- not joking]. You're about to go down one of the deepest rabbit holes in music that you'll ever find... and, he will break all the musical genre limitations you may have previously thought existed as normal. It becomes impossible to categorize his locked in style of music and/or vocals. Dimash IS music.

This is the first song I heard from Dimash, and I had tears in my eyes the entire song. And then I heard his Ave Maria and the flood gates really opened. I am so excited to be going to the Budapest concert on May 4th. Another bucket list item goes down.
You're right, and for some strange reason you're the first to mention the obvious reason we watch reaction videos. The bonus is when the reaction is more than an open mouth and that there is also some knowledge of music and vocals. Sometimes I wish I lost my memory so I could hear Dimash for the first time again. I listen to this song performed by him from time to time. Everyone has a goal in life. His goal is apparently to make others think about the meaning of life.
My mother has just passed, and I'd had a sort of visitation dream, wherein she lifted me and I got such a heavenly feeling.

The first time I heard Dimash, that day four years ago, I felt something I had never felt before. My mind and spirit truly connected for the first time in my entire life. They were always separated, as if fighting, each one on their own in an eternal inner struggle within me. Only my heart sometimes obligated them to make peace by force. I didn't understand a word of what I heard, just THAT VOICE and felt that emotional strength and that faithful dedication to what we call music. And then my mind and my spirit joined hands and went in search of my soul so that that voice could also embrace and caress them, and my heart finally had peace. I don't believe what you're saying. I am surprised and shocked,😮 as if you were speaking in my tongue.. I felt the same way you did when I listened to him for the first time.
This video was 7 years ago and was his big breakthrough into becoming a superstar in China and many other countries around the world. Today people fly in from all over the world to see his concerts, many being over 3 hours (this year in Hong Kong 4 hours). He is today recognised by many professional singers and musicians as the best all-around singer/performer both technically and artistically the world has ever seen. Take it from me this is just the tip of an extremely large iceberg.
Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and I was informed that he is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material of his that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are eagerly awaiting. He is a kind, polite and compassionate person, proud of his culture and his country.
His French is bad… I mean, at certain moments he doesn’t say the words, he just says ahhhhh ohhhhhhh uhhhhhh. I suppose that he can’t sing high notes and pronounce words at the same time.
@@padmeamidala4883 It is the first time I have read a comment as negative as yours. While the world is amazed by his voice and his interpretation, you analyze whether he pronounced each word correctly.
You could try singing in Russian or Kasakh and be understood like a native.
His French has improved since then. And considering that most of the world mispronounces his name and can t say or recognize a single word in his native language, I think we ll forgive him for being less than perfect in his 8th or 9th sung language @@padmeamidala4883

How did i feel. I don't know if i could describe it except feeling such intense and overwhelming emotions that I never felt before in my life. There was before Dimash and after Dimash, and after Dimash there was a completely new life. To me he is a soul healer. For 5 years now I constantly, daily listen to him and he moves and astonishes me just as much, if not more, than when I heard him for the first time.

It's so fun for us "Dears" (that’s what Dimash calls his fans because he loves us as a dear family) to see how people react to him.
Some info about Dimash. He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English).
Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD.
He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500.
Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside).
They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night.
Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to.

The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon!

Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to.

He didn’t win the competion they say its because he wasn’t Chinese. But I don’t know if that’s right or not! They change the rules next year. But he got the most out of it and was most known after this. Got lots of awards and other things to. So he won the audience and the Chinese people.

Thanks for your wonderful reaction. This performance was over seven years ago, and it’s hard to believe he keeps getting better and better as time goes on. I actually seen him live on stage when he had his first solo concert in America, in New York City, at the Barclays Center back in 2019. It was a dream come true for me, and I’m waiting for his return to the States to see him again live on stage. His shows are spectacular. I’ve been a Dear for seven years, and listen to his songs every day. I hope you continue to react to more performances by this amazing young man. Being on a roller coaster of emotions, disbelief, awe are some of the things I felt the first time I heard Dimash. He’s not only an amazing singer but also an incredible human being.
Dimash is such a beautiful human with a beautiful voice. He just released a new MV “When I’ve Got You” everything he sings, he becomes the song. He makes you feel. Even if you don’t speak the language of the song even without subtitles. You feel everything about the song. I’m so happy you finally found him. I sobbed through this the first time I ever watched Dimash. I was grateful to be watching a reaction video at the time as I don't think I could have taken listening to the whole song without pausing from time to time as I was that emotion. I love Dimash!
I felt exactly the same way I was sold on the first three lines absolutely beautiful voice... and then off we went. the range, the control, the seamless register shifts and octave jumps, the pitch perfect, the soft head voice breathy phonated notes, the dynamics, the emotion, the classical tones (the tenor), shifting seamlessly to power metal belts (head voice reinforced very unique, very safe zero tension), shifting to a beautiful falsetto with a little R&B run and then that delicate finish beautiful soft airy crescendo, diminuendo and living the song throughout, immaculate stage presence... yeah I was floored. But then after another couple of songs, Sinful Passion and Stranger I watched next I realised that this (S.O.S) was just a teaser and I had seen and heard nothing yet... I am not joking every time, every single time, Dimash surprises, I hope you react to many more you will love it, oh and say it (Dee-Marsh Koo-di- berr-gen) [a very small roll of the 'r' not russian or italian RRRRRR]
I stumbled across him in the opening days of the epidemic:: listening to him (obsessively) kept me sane. He was offered a place with Astana Opera when he graduated, but he refused because he wanted a career doing cross-over music. Once someone who loves music discovers Dimash, there are no choices - it's down the rabbit hole we go. I'll be watching! liked/subscribed.

thanks for the replay!!! 🙌 I almost didn't listen to SOS which was sent to me by a friend. Cuz everyone says "listen to this GREAT singer" and they are always just OK. After 2 weeks I did listen. I have seen so many many "great" vocalists live including Houston, Streisand, Pavarotti, and more. BUT NOT ONE of them EVER brought me to involuntary tears.... the first time I heard Dimash sing this song at this performance......my jaw dropped to the floor and tears rolled down my face!
