I have affected by this very badly as my parents use to compare between me n my brother as I was brilliant in studies and according to them he was not .. but that thought took a very big turn into his mind ..he feels jealous about me very badly and want to destroy me from everywhere. Even at this maturity age his thinking is same. I am 37 years old and he is 35 years old. He is influencing my son ( of 15 years old) against me as am single mother. He don't want me to have good relationship with my parents or my son. He took away everybody from me. And now am alone . So listening to these videos as am thinking to start my spiritual journey.
My mom introduced me to Shivani. She told me to check out her videos as I’m into spirituality and psychology. I found this video and showed just 1 minute to my mom. And my mom immediately got offended and closed up. And said “I don’t believe in this. I compare myself to other people all the time, Cus it gives me power”. It’s so funny that my mom recommended me to watch Shivani’s video but now that I’m showing her this video, that challenges her pov and parenting she totally closes off and tells me that “shivani has her own beliefs”. Some people will never change, even if it’s our parents. They won’t even change for the well being of themselves and they’re children, whom they claim to “love” more than anything in this world.

@Ravina its tha denial your mother can't accept their own actions but she needs to understand it's TRUE. I m also mother & I accept my flaws & try to change my way it takes time but one day we can do what we want . God bless you bacha tell your mma to think about it.
Hope your mom has understood what you showed. As people it is difficult for us to accept that we could be wrong even if we have slightest realisation of the same. It takes courage and deeper understanding to do away with our ego. Happens to all of us but if the effort is genuine we can do it. Or else you try to accept her sanskar🙂

My parents always motivated me but after marriage life had changed husband discourages me with negative words as he is a lawyer he meets negative people around him I tried a lot to change his thoughts but now at the age when I have turned 40 I feel tired of changing him
I only try to motivate children now but my hope for continued marriage relationship and love and respect in that has diminished with time.
All the time negligence hurts me
Parents made me once bold and strong but husband and his restrictions made me negative and life less and with no goals

Absolutely true and so beautiful !! I wish such sessions are given in school because it’s the teachers who label the child and force these labels to parents also. If parents reject those labels / comparisons , then the teachers start resenting both the parent and the child , which makes child’s life in the school even more miserable !! I wish it was so easy and conflict free .
