I probably should have said the reason I was interested in the second and third flashlights is that they mount low enough that it doesn't bother me to put them on the left side of the rifle, and then you don't have to deal with a wire. Cheers.
That’s y I’m looking at them as well. Thanks
I like the low profile and touch pad design, too.
but mounted on the left side, u have to deal with accidental light discharge when the weapon is slung against your body.
Do you know of the Manufactures website, I can’t find one.
I used to be all about pressure switches/pads. Then I listened to podcasts with a former DEVGRU member and an operator from CAG(SFOD-D). Both said nobody from respective units ran pressure switches b/c of light ADs + another component to fail. Prefer to run mine at 9 o'clock as well.
Exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks.
GREAT video!! Very INFORMATIVE! Keep up the good work 👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you!
I wish there were a 3" version of this--for my purposes (a ruger 5.7 charger), this would hang out way past the muzzle. But I'm loving this idea--hopefully streamlight or even holosun will do something similar.
Thanks a lot for the review! I got the 3rd one WITH laser, and put underneath/6 o’clock M-lok rail (rifle’s handgaurd has M-lok on 3,6,9 positions), no muzzle shadow and the brightness is actually GOOD!
Great to hear!
Definitely helped me!!
Thanks for this information!
No problem! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the review
Very helpful thank you 👍
Excellent video.
Thanks!
what is the run time on each light ?
the votatu will NOT fit on a magpul carbine length m-lok handguard .that specific handguard has a raised edge at the front of the handguard and the length of the votatu doesn't allow it to be installed short of the raised edge.
I’m very interested in the low profile options as well, but am worried about the longevity and durability. Any thoughts? Gotta pull the trigger eventually lol
Aluminium alloy made, I think the durability is enough. If we think about the price and warranty, there is no need to worry about the longevity, too.
Not too much to go wrong with a flashlight. The built-in rechargeable battery might quit after several years, but by that time, better tech should be available anyway. That being said, if you're going to a cave in Afghanistan, I'd buy a Surefire or something. Otherwise, this seems good.
Nice
What are the handguard inserts it looks like you have?
BCM MLOK Rail Cover Kit, I think is what you're looking for.
Curious how they hold up to recoil and concussion from live fire?
Haven't seen any problem. 5.56 recoil shouldn't be an issue. In general, I try to keep my flashlights away from the muzzle blast. Don't want the lens to get carbon all on it or otherwise damaged.
The Defentec is zoomable...adjust it to see if the hotspot intensifies.
There is a zoomable version, but mine isn't one of those.
How r ur eyes now any complications
Maybe you're referring to an ICL video, but, my eyes are doing great. No change from the last video.
@@marginallyinteresting
Are u going to make another update video
If not
Then I have a question
Does ur eyes pain after 8 hrs of computer work ???
Plz reply
I do not intend to do any more update videos unless something changes. No problem after a day of computer use.
What gun is that?
It's a S&W M&P15, customized, including FDE cerakote.
@marginallyinteresting nice, I'm wanting an all FDE AR also. And the light tan version is my favorite
FDE is nice. Besides the appearance, it's also much cooler in the sun.
@@marginallyinteresting oh that's good, I've never considered that
Wow dry AF but I still appreciate the video.
Just the facts here, bud.
what are to run time on each light after a full charge ? that info would have been more helpful in choosing one over the other.
It's a long time. Would take many hours to properly test.
Ah, these flashlights are all crap. I would never buy that. (kidding)
Hilarious...
I purchased the defentac not bad
some MLOKs holes are bigger than others. Look around the gun. If that's the case you can fit the defentac in one MLOK hole
