An Infinite Product for Pi

By using the Double Angle Formula repeatedly, we derive an infinite product expansion of the sinc function, sin(x)/x. We evaluate this function at pi/2 and the corresponding product at pi/2. Applying the half-angle formula over and over, we arrive at a formula for 2/pi in terms of nested copies of the square root of two.
