    I had that type cleaner. Then went to a cleaner that works off the return side much better! Then switched to a robotic with its own power and cord. Nothing hooked to filter. Best way to go although pricey. I can have my pool cleaned and chemically balanced before even having the filter started in the spring. I am on my 5th vacuum(first robo) in 18 years. Robo is a pool rover jr. nearly 9 years old.

      This one worked, but I just updated to a pool robot as well and it's so much better than using the pool pump and filters, but definitely pricey. Thanks for the comments!

    i have to make sure my hose is full of water before I hook it to the suction side. I use the return line to do this. how did you get your hose full of water? did you let the pump suck a bunch of air until all the air in the hose was gone?

    How about the 2 wheel version and the flow meter. Did yours come with a clear device to measure the flow of the pump? Where does it go or when do you use it?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Před rokem

      I've looked at the 2 wheel version from the same company and it doesn't rate quite as high up on the reviews and is more money so have avoided it so far. Mine didn't come with a clear device to measure the pump flow, but does have an adjuster on the end for the amount of pump suction. Thanks for the comments!

    We love ours but we have the old one from 15 years ago we ended up combining parts and weights. I’m disappointed no videos including yours shows or tells about inserting the regulator into the pump. All of my pipes are buried under ground. I am very Leary of taking a basket out of the pool and having any leaves and debris going into the skimmer? Everyone shows emptying a basket but showing putting this thing under the basket? We have a 20x40 9foot deep pool and I cannot risk damaging / replacing the underground plumbing from clogged pipes. So we just decided to use the old system with it and it sits on top of the basket and empties into it. This is the best cleaner we have ever used though. We close all of our 3 returns and it boogies around the pool and walls in about 3 hours

    We are Experiencing problems with our extreme power. It’s been pulling off stone from our pool and now it’s not working because the stones it sucked up are stuck in the system so it is jammed .

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Před 3 lety +1

      Oh that's terrible it's actually pulling building material from the pool itself? Are the stones stuck in the Extreme, or the pool filter pump? If they are stuck in the Extreme, you will need to try and remove them by taking the hose sections apart, and the unit sections apart to reach the stuck stones. So sorry to hear this is causing issues. There is also a way to adjust how much suction it puts out by changing the spring tension. Hope this helps, how frustration. Thank you for commenting on this unit.

    Does my main drain and vacuums line have to be off?

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Před 7 měsíci

      So this works better if the main drain is turned off apparently, and the pool pump is what runs it. There is an adjustment where it connects into the pool pump to give it more sucking pressure and that helps.

      @@wild-n Hi again
      I think I have it figured out. The hose is way too stiff. it just takes the path of least resistance. My old one the hose was much more flexible and only used 3 weights.
      Im going to try the old hose from my old machine or at least a few pieces.

    • @wild-n

      @@FixMyBleep Wildstreak
      Well I finally figured it out. Took all the weights off the hose and used the more flexible hose from the old machine. It was doing better, but still seemed constrained as far as coverage goes. Then I noticed the swivel at the machine doesn't work well under vacuum pressure. It only rotates 30-35 degrees when running, so I ordered two Pentair swivels to go inside in the hose and now it goes where ever it wants unconstrained. Much better now and those swivels actually work. Imagine now it goes in the deep end and the shallow end without any weights whatsoever in my 8'5" deep pool.

    How do I turn it on😭

    • @FixMyBleep
      @FixMyBleep  Před rokem

      This runs off of your pool equipment. So you plug the end of the hose into the pool vacume pump (under the skimmer basket typically), and turn the circulating pump on to activate the device. Then let it run all night, or most of the day. Also get all the air out of the hoses, and youneed to balance the hoses just right with the weights, it's a little tricky, but once you get the hose length and weight figured out, it works well. I hope that helps.
