The enclosed Song, sung in the ancient Languages, Sanskrit and Bengali, is dedicated to Mother Earth, known in Sanskrit as 'Bhūmī Mata' or conversely, as 'Bhārata Bhūmī'
~ The Title, I chose for my own original Composition, Bharata Bhumi, which links directly to my other, more Occidental, yet still exotic Songs, containing Elements, inspired by Master Composers, like Lennon/McCartney, Simon & Garfunkel, Enio Morricone, Bee Gees' Barry Gibb, Chris Isaak, Jim Morrison and The Doors of Perception, Joe Strummer ~ (Frontman of The Clash) whom I met, and bonded with, already in the early, cold and wintery Part of 1981, when The Clash came to play in Copenhagen...
There, I was Years later again back in the Limelight, and again finding my Self, surrounded by my famous Friends, and hanging out with Celebrity SuperStars, known All over the World ~ after 7 full Years of living as a Monk in strict Celibacy, and becoming twice initiated, to hold the responsible Role as a Vedic High Priest in the Holy Hare Krishna Temple of Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰
I not only met with, but indeed, I personally gifted my sold-out Solo Album, 'ION - My Golden Seeds' to several Celebrity SuperStars, like Claudia, who sings the female Vocals in Pink Floyd, her celebrated Rock Band, to whom she introduced me, when I had been invited by her, to the Official Pink Floyd After Party, held at the Corner Suite of 5* Hotel D'Angleterre, in Downtown Copenhagen, where I have been performing Live at so many famous Festivals, like Copenhagen Jazz Festival, held at various different Venues, in and around Central Copenhagen, where I grew up, as Son of my legendary Father, Frode Veddinge, who is the Reason why, I am also of Spanish Royal Descent. Indeed, on my CZcams Channel, you can find Music Videos, filmed Live and recorded in Andalusia, Southern Spain, where my famous Father lives, and where he still plays decent Spanish Guitar, since almost 70 Years now.
With Pink Floyd, we All celebrated Claudia's Birthday, on the exact same Night, on which two major Milestones, coincided at the exact same Time, in a classic Case of Cosmic Coincidents and the Jungian Joy of Superb Synchronicity.
Earlier that Evening, my Technician and I had both laid the finishing Touches, on what soon after became my hugely successful sold-out Solo Album.
Likewise, at the VIP Section of the main Football Stadium of Denmark, I was fortunate, and got into their Sold-out Stadium Concert in the huge Football Stadium of Central Copenhagen, Denmark, filled up with more than 50.000 Faithful Floyd Fans and Followers...🇩🇰
Later, the same Year, Backstage at a huge Beach Festival, I met with another One of my old Heroes, no other than Culture Club Lead-Singer, and fellow DJ, Boy George, with whom I share many musical and artistic Friends ~ especially from my more than 20 Years of living in, and loving Babylon-done [London]
There, I also met and performed with other Rock Stars, like Crispian Mills, [Krsna Kantha Das] and Poly Styrene, who like myself was also a celebrated Punk Rock Star, as Lead Vocalist in X Ray Spex, which I listened to, since I was a Football Hero, as Captain of the best Team, in the biggest Club of Denmark, Brøndby [BIF] where I grew up, and almost ended up, becoming a highly-paid Football Player, but I had to abruptly end my otherwise promising Prospects in Soccer, due to dangerous Injuries.
Instead of pushing my Self too hard, and risking permanent Damages in a Career within Sport, I asked my wonderfully talented Father, Frode Veddinge, to teach me how to play Spanish Guitar; and within a Year, I had attained the Status, as Lead Vocalist of One of the legendary, early Punk Rock Bands, Illegal 80, established the same Year, CIA murdered John Lennon, and blamed the Killing, on a Lone Gunman, who might have been obsessed with Strawberry Fields Forever ~ especially, the Fatal One-Liners,
"Let me take you down!" & "Happiness is a warm Gun!"
Speaking of the Fab Four, the Lads from Liverpool, both before and after performing in Liverpool, as the Main Act of British Music Business Day, late 1995, I made good Friends with a few Friends of The Beatles, but sadly, even after a mutual Friend of George Harrison and I, wanted us to meet, he too, was also made Victim of an extremely violent Assault, at the exact Residential Address of Dhani, Olivia, and George Harrison, outside London, to where I had been requested to send him a personal Letter.
Luckily, George survived the vicious Murder Attempt, but sadly, Fate prevented us from finally meeting each other, to share our One Love Ideology.
Nonetheless, the equally qualified Singer/Songwriter, Guitarist and Composer, Crispian Mills, is my younger God-Brother, with whom I have bonded deeply, both musically and spiritually, since we first met Backstage at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogī Ashram in Holland, more than 25 Years ago.
We first met back in 1996, when I was touring around England, and later, Holland, where our Holy Master, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, first set Foot, when he was first visiting the Western Hemisphere, on the Onset of his World Tour, to which he personally invited me, to tour, and perform Live on Stage with him, in Cities, like Sydney, Venice, Tuscany, Milano, Liverpool, London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Auckland, Brisbane, New Delhi, Mumbai [Bombay] Rishikesh, Vrindavan, Mathura, Kathmandu, Nepal, and other Exotic Locations, like Goa, South India, and in Ubud, on the blessed Island of Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩 where my dear Wife is originally from, and was living a luxurious Lifestyle, +25 Years on Paradise Island.
There we met, and married each other, immediately after our short Engagement, during the Plandemic Lockdown of 2020.

@@richardhollander323 depends on your idea of a sea shantie; if you consider songs relating to the sea, sea shanties then sure. But the usual piraty shanties serve the purpose of rendering the hard work being done by the crew easier with the tempo and everything.
The difference is this song is more about merchant ships, like Caesar above said, and is sung to pass the time, so to speak, by regular people.
