    Yup as others have said, those are cypress trees. In Spanish, they are known as sabinal which is the name of the river where they found the “secret” swimming hole that’s about 2 miles from my home. And yes it’s very shaded and beautiful in warm weather. The museum is open March through October and then only Friday through Sunday. But it’s definitely worth the stop especially if one is a British bike fan. I’m lucky to be able to ride out here and if anyone visits, be aware of the wildlife on the road.

We could here them dynamiting the road during the day and we would all load up and go see it in the evenings. Great memories. Now i ride motorcycles thru the same area i was all over in a pickup with my Uncle. Showing my age i guess!! Lol. The tree i bet you were looking for is the third largest oak tree in Texas. Kinda hard to find and on private property but can see it from 1120. It is HUGE!!! Group of us guys going to Big Bend, again, in April and will be traveling thru Hill Country. Can't wait!!!! Very Old School kind of place. Ft. Davis State Park a good stop too. Great facilities.

    Garner State Park, in the Texas Hill Country, is the most popular state park in Texas for overnight camping. It often fills by noon in peak parts of the season. The park is popular with campers and local residents for its activities on the Frio River and the dances held nightly during the spring and summer. Garner State Park in Concan is the most visited park in Texas, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. From September 2020 to May 2021, more than 317,000 people visited the park. Palo Duro Canyon is the second most visited, with a respectable 306,000 in that same timeframe.

    On your list of states that can fit in TX you said Maine to which I was really surprised. Actually, Maine is NOT on your list. (I think you meant Mass.) I'm a Maineiac and I know that several CTs and MAs can fit inside the state of Maine. No matter. I get the point. TX is big! BTW, I'm a relatively new 2 wheeler and I've been watching a number of videos lately about wheeling in the great state of Texas. One of the things I really envy is the apparent large variety of destinations within a reasonable distance for people to experience by means of rural roads. Maine has its share especially along the coast and in southern Maine. The challenge is that that's where all the people/tourists are, and unencumbered travel can be a challenge. I hope someday to be able to do some touring in Texas. Safe travels ... Oh, liked and subscribed! :)

    Rich, I heard you talking about the GPS "advantage" - because you can see how tight a turn is. I remember the last time you trusted s GPS, in Michigan's U.P. 🤔 That did not go well. Be careful out there.
    P.S. What's with the earring? You have a beautiful woman already, who are you trying to impress? 😉

      @TwoWheelsBigLife Před 2 lety

      Yes that was Google maps that let me down. This is a real GPS that does not take the quickest it follows the path I chose. The earring. I had a near death experience and this is a reminder to me

    Buy the way you have to look up Engine Hawk. They are a British company that sell motorcycle jackets. The jackets are made with the feedback of riders like you. The jackets look good on and off the bike, meaning you don't look like a "biker". They are rated AA for skid&fall they have armor in the back shoulder & elbow, But you can't see or really feel it. There are over 20 different men's jackets and so far only 3 womens.( Engine Hawk) is only 1 1/2 years old. I have a leather & a textile jacket. Look them up you will love what you see!!!

    You may need to brace the holes in your front tire mount. They appear to flex when the bike is parked in the mount. The aluminum plate will crack.

    I remember first time seeing one of those flood gauges in San Antonio....eye opener. Hope that shock is ok or if not, at least quickly/economically fixable.

    Thanks for another good video.
    In the UK we call the panniers panniers, but for us the box on the top is...the top box.
    Can uou tell me how effective the sheep skins are for comfort?
    Thanks.

    We watch every week, just wondering if we missed something. I thought you would of talked about it. What happened to the Harley. All we heard is it needed some work. You look great on the new bike Rich. Now you can go off road, but you did that on the Harley, LOL

    When you strap down your bike so your forks will be down so low. They have something for fork safe.

    I did the RR336 leg of the sisters in an 18 wheeler flat bed. I was coming from Rocksprings going to Honda and thought it would cut some time. Big mistake, not a good road for 48ft flatbed with a load of fencing material. BTW, there is Alamo BMW off I10 near Boerne if you want to have your fork leak looked at.
