- We recently visit Disney's Grand Floridian Café, located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and tried the Chicken and Waffles and the Breakfast Steak.
Welcome to our Table Travelers! We recently joined fellow Travelers at Brunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. We really enjoyed getting to know Estralia, Gabrielle, and Nelson. We want to thank them for taking time out of their vacation to share their Disney stories with us!
We did notice some changes to the chicken and waffles and breakfast steak during Brunch. As they say "the Old Gray Mare - she ain't what she used to be" rings true today. Still worthy of a visit for Brunch, it is just the focus went from the chicken to the waffles and from the petite steak to the side of cheesy hash brown casserole. For $26.00 and $21.00 dollars, respectively, maybe some change is not always better.

Sandy agree it is such a great location. It never has been our favorite but the surroundings make up for it. They were such a great family and he was a fantastic young man. We are so lucky to have a great traveling family…
Hi Todd and Michelle! I'm gonna be biased and say that this is my favorite vlog so far because it features my amazing family. Gabriel was the star of the show lol Hopefully next time we're down there we can all dine together. Love watching your vlogs! Keep making us smile 😃

The change in portion size is astounding! It’s interesting how your reviews of the food are inversely proportional to the portion size…
I thought so too! The larger chicken pieces were more moist, more tender, and had larger corn flake pieces so you knew it was corn flakes. The smaller pieces were dry, hard, and had finely ground corn flakes. It made the dish less appealing. Both to the eye and the taste. Have a great week and great comment! -Michelle
What a huge difference in size from past to present of the chicken. I usually order that chicken for dinner. It is really yummy! Sad they no longer serve those amazing biscuits and citrus butter complimentary. Love when you dine with travelers. Hoping to join you one day in the near future.
Michele I loved the chicken at night so we may have to go do a dinner review lol. I really did miss the biscuits and citrus butter. We absolutely love dining with our fellow travelers. That’s why we like to say we are truly a channel for all of our fellow travelers. Sounds like a plan, see you in your next visit.
I am craving chicken and waffles now!! I miss 1900 - they need to reopen!! Loved seeing the Garcia Family!
It was good but the chicken was definitely smaller. It was fantastic being able to share a meal with them. We all even asked about 1900 about no word yet. Hope you had a great weekend.

Alvaro totally agree. It’s such a lovely place but the food has never been our favorite. That was the one dish like you that kept me coming back. Hope you had a great weekend.

Grand Floridian Café is one of our favorite restaurants, we never had a bad experience. Todd and Michelle We are so glad so many of our travelers Community are having the opportunity to meet the two of you..You have no idea how special you two are. Keep up the great work

Wow can't get over how small those pieces of chicken were. I don't think there should be more Waffle than chicken, but maybe that's just me. Love getting to see more travelers and you guys are so great with the kids that join as well.

So enjoyed seeing you at the GF Cafe! Years and years ago….like in their first year of opening….the cafe served up a GF Sandwich that was out of this world! And in addition to that sandwich was something I’ve never seen since. A deep fried cornbread pickle. Amazing! Sure wish they’d bring that back! It has definitely had its ups and downs. It’s not one of our favorites but sharing a meal with fellow travelers made up for it. I even forgot we didn’t get biscuits this time. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend
This will be our last sit down meal on our last day in September. We booked it yesterday, so thanks for this review. I have my eye on the lobster thermadore burger, but the chicken sounds amazing. Though the portion here didn’t seem too good. We’ll get the boat from MK, have lunch and get the boat back to hopefully finish a perfect last day of our trip. Only 8 weeks to go!👍🏴
The burger is their number 1 seller. Chicken and waffle was good but has definitely gotten smaller. Best way to get there you have the perfect plan. Have a great time and maybe we will see each other in our travels.
We have watched a ton of videos and we want to officially add our names to the traveler family wall “The Boucher Family from Lisbon, ME”. We will be at the Contemporary next month for Chef Mickey’s and Steakhouse 71 and hope to bump into you at the resort!

We are waiting for 1900 Park fare. My 26 year old and I are obsessed with the strawberry soup. Grand Floridian Cafe is not our favorite. Not bad, just OK. Thanks for sharing.
We love 1900. We are going in September and that was our sons main pick to dine at. Just a shame it doesn’t look like it will be open by then.
Another vote for 1900 Park Fare. I enjoy Grand Floridian Cafe, but I would love for 1900 Park Fare to reopen. I also hope they bring back afternoon tea.
Hi Ellen! I've never had the strawberry soup at 1900 but there is one at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs Resort! It was poured over a Ricotta-Basil Gelato with Basil Oil and a crispy meringue for $7.50. It was absolutely delicious and worth a try! Thanks for being a part of our Traveler Family! - Michelle

Oh it was good but the chicken definitely shrank. It’s not our favorite location but being in the Grand makes up for it. Hope you guys had a great weekend

Did they not let that baby chicken grow up to be a big chicken before they brought it out on your plate? Should have asked to get more baby chicken.
