My friends, Steve, Tom & Ben, thank you very much for your interest in my work. I'm flattered, and enjoyed your interpretations. I especially liked your quote that the film is "meta to the point of emotional abuse." The project began with emotional abuse, and somewhat worked its way backwards. I do wish you had mentioned "Suspicious Minds." That always brought the house down. Anyhoo, I'll paste your review on the "Pretender" Facebook page, and please also let your fans know that the film is available on vimeo-on-demand. Thanks for watching, friends. Oh, and I'll get it added to IMDB.

      Nice! We're big fans.
There's one question I've been meaning to ask you since I saw Flooding With Love For The Kid: Have you read David Morrell's novelization of Rambo III?

@@steveclark4945 Yes, of course. I actually had a signed copy of it, as well as First Blood and Rambo: First Blood II. Very sadly, they were destroyed, along with my whole library, in a fire. I met David Morrell 10 years ago, after "Flooding" went viral. He's an extremely generous, kind-hearted man. To be honest, I did have some problems with the story line of Rambo III (which Morrell didn't create, he was just asked to do the novelization). Most importantly, it was the first Rambo film that didn't require Rambo. Any badass soldier could have been the lead. It didn't deal at all with Rambo's past, which is what makes him such a fascinating character. As Mr. Morrell has said to me, "Rambo is a different character in every movie." I also admit I was uncomfortable with Rambo supporting the Mujahideen, as I can see the Future, baby, and it is murder.

@Zachary Oberzan Yeah, Rambo III has its issues. What's great about the novelization, though, is that they didn't give Morrell a completed script to work from, so his version of the story is much more interesting and satisfying than what ended up on the screen.
Sorry to hear about your signed copy. That's a shame.

I loved every second of this movie. Zachery is a genius!
