Idk why this song became so iconic and popular within the Latin American communities. I lived in the US for most of my life since I was a kid. I never heard this song as much as I hear it in my home country (Mexico). I hear this song being played at least 4 to 5 times a week wherever I go. I remember hearing this song being played only once in the US, and this is only because a Mexican coworker had it on his playlist. I really like this song.
