People forget what happened in the NFC chanpionship game. CMC is a phenom, but he wouldn’t have as many opportunities if Purdy wasn’t delivering DOTS in the passing game. CMC benefits from the overall scheme just as much as Purdy.
Kind of like how every good player on every good offense does.
They all benefit from the scheme and have elite players in different positions. Teams typically will focus on the "star player" but the Niners have multiple star players. This really opens things up for them and I think they feed off of this and it makes for better team play vs feeling all the pressure being "the guy" or feeling you are not getting the ball, etc. They're happy to support, block, and win together in an unselfish way that's also fun for them!

I'm a Niners fan, but I'm mostly just in awe of the level of the football being played by this team. Purdy and CMC are playing at MVP level, and then you got Deebo, and Kittle...This is one of the best offensive editions of SF I've ever seen.

Jauan Jennings for sure would be a starter. Their Punter is all pro ffs. Maybe their special teams overall is average and their OL but each of those have at least 1 all pro player in key spots.
I don't think its just those two playing at the MVP level, but definitely most of those playmakers on offense and defense could be on the list of offensive and defensive players of the year.

Props to Christian McCaffrey for his wonderful hat trick. It was wonderful because two of them were receiving TDs while he’s a RB. He’s the best RB in the league and deserve the MVP nomination.
Nobody would be mad from the 49ers team or fans if he did. If that fraud Dak Prescott got it on the other hand....the award would be as hollow as Dak's super bowl trophy cabinet.
I say that wouldnt be mad, but if Purdy turns in 2 more performances similar to this game in the last two games, I don't see how he doesn't run away with it short of every yard and TD he adds on being to McCaffery.

so great to see McAffrey still doing so well, I remember watching him for years being the workhorse in Carolina hoping eventually they'd get it together for him. He's done one better, he's gotten to a team that could very well be a Super Bowl contender.

Cardinals are the least expensive and most injured defense in the league. You beat a bunch of practice squad and waiver guys. I still think the Niners are the best team in the NFC, just not invincible.
I knew we'd be leaky against the run today, but I was still surprised when I heard they had over 200 yards rushing against us at the end. And yet we smoked them. The rest of the D still did their job exceedingly well.

It's pretty wild that the 49ers QBs are Brock Purdy, a wildly unheralded literal last pick in the draft, and Sam Darnold, a "sure-fire, can't miss" #1 overall pick, and Purdy is the starter. Talk about two different career trajectories.

Sam darnold was thrown into fire and expected to carry the jets. Hell even Aaron rodgers has yet to prove he can make that offense work. The jets had a number 3 pick and a number 2 pick and ruined them both.

Absolutely. Cardinals are a few good moves away from being real contenders. But so are the Seahawks. My prediction next year is Rams are last in the division and will be so for 3-4 years. 9ers remain on top until either A. Brock Purdy gets a real paycheck. B. Trent Williams retires.

The hot read Purdy did at 14:14 is something to behold, to have that composure knowing you are going to be slammed to the ground and putting the ball exactly where it had to be, that is rare even for elite quarterbacks.

Mason should have about 5 rushes a game, 15 for McCaffrey (and around 3-5 receptions).
That being said, Juszczyk should also be getting the ball more as he is a supreme talent.
It is difficult because McCaffrey is the engine that makes the 49ers go so you don’t want to take too many touches away from him.

I counted easily 5 beautiful amazing dimes thrown by Purdy. He reads the D so fast and can switch multiple reads inside of 2-3 seconds and make such perfect throws between 2 or 3 or sometimes 4 defenders putting the ball perfectly into his WR or TE hands. Purdy is going to be MVP this season for sure. Dude reminds me of Brady

As another pats fan, I completely agree and it's mostly why I've been such a Purdy lover. Dude is like Brady reincarnate lol. I really cant wait to see him develop and grow. I just hope he keeps the chip on his shoulder and doesn't grow a huge Ego.
