Very nice, adding the drone surveys to your reconnaissance! And I like this campground, not too far from del Norte which I like to visit on occasion. Rugged roads and small parking areas, just the way I like it! The RV with the make shift 6 ft high tongue jack, trying to get level on these USFS camping spots was... well, interesting.

Curious can you comment on how large a rig you think could go into the sites?

the road around the campground looks kinda rough. would it be too rough to tow a trailer?

Don't go to El dorado lake. Bad camping spots to close together and way to expensive. Very disappointed

Wow great video ! I've only been there once, along time ago. I spend so so much time wandering around the northern part of the state I forget how different it is there.

Well done; a walking tour is better than a drive through, especially on the forest service sites that are the opposite of the traffic flow.

Thanks for the review and the great views. May have to give it a try late September or early October when I'm out for some leaf peeping. Really enjoyed the drone scenery!! Question: at these NFS campgrounds that are posted as open year 'round, do the pit toilets remain open and usable? The USFS website states that water and trash service are not avaiable but I could find no mention of pit toilet accessibility?

I moto camped there feb 2024 and was delighted. Only problem was sustained 20 mph winds

Best place to camp is in the state you are from.

Camped there with my daughter a few times from 2004 to 2007. Awesome campground. Big campsites. Lovely beach. Trails galore. Two of the four loops have flush toilets (but no showers, unfortunately). The store at the corner of the main road where it meets the road to the campground has showers to use for a fee-- at least it did back in '07.

In the road accessible by motorcycle? Harley’s

We love this campground and have hiked Willow Creek Trail many times. There's actually 4 tent camp sites. One of them is site #0. It looks like on your video that the sign wasn't there for it, so it makes it look like Site #1 has 2 picnic tables and 2 fire rings. 😊 Maybe that's how it used to be?! 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for sharing, guys!

I live in Wichita and noticed that lake Cheney just outside of Wichita is just about to dry up. The water level is like 30ft below normal, not sure why but it sure did catch my attention that something wasn't right . . .

Jewel County State lake is a great spot. Smaller but real nice.

Stopped in at O'haver about 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday. No availability, booked solid. It is a nice place but it's too close to a populated area to hope to just pull in and get a site. The poor camp host already had a line of people there at 9 in the morning, bugging him for availability. I saw him struggling to keep everyone straight so i finally thanked him for his time and left. We were caught up in that situation last year north of pagosa springs, people were flat asses about hovering over the campers that were getting ready to leave and some even unloaded some their items right in around the current campers as the packed up.. Don't get me wrong, i watch your videos all the time but i look for dispersed. Less idiots is a positive...
