In a Tower Health Hospital for a few days and my touchscreen tv (PDI MEDTAB19) volume just suddenly stopped working but ONLY when watching cable TV! I didn't accidentally turn anything on/off such as mute. Nothing was near the tv when it silenced. I tried changing channels and there is sound when I select the guide or some of the other controls, just nothing from the channels themselves! There's sound with the preselected movies and games that they have to watch as well as the internet.

Will a USB work to watch movies in this TV's?

So I reset the menu back to factory settings, but it didn't cut itself off. When I cut it off manually and turned it on again (manually AND with the remote), still no menu. Tried resetting to factory settings again, only this time the TV cut itself off three to five seconds into the process. No Reset dialog box. And still no menu when I turned it on again. I am using a Philips Universal Remote that does everything, except the Menu button doesn't do anything. Neither do the Setup or Input buttons. You've gotta have a degree in rocket science to program this TV! How do I get to the #&@% Menu screen?!! If I could just get there, everything else would be a piece of cake. Is there any way to do it manually? And how do I switch inputs to HDMI if the TV/AV button only goes from TV to showing the selected channel? It shouldn't be this hard to switch to inputs, especially since my FireStick worked when I plugged in the TV. After the first time I tried to program the remote to work with this TV, I lost the ability to switch inputs. Also, do I have to have a cable TV hookup to program this TV? I don't have cable and I don't want cable because it's expensive and I can watch all the movies I want on Amazon for $12 a month. Is there no other way to set up this TV?

we are having issues at a hospital with one wing of PDI (non-power over coax) TVs that are losing their picture but not audio. This is happening on 8 televisions. If you take the TV to another wing of the hospital it does not do this. The signal coming into the TV is about the same DB level. Any ideas what this could be?

Professor Norm, how about a small amp in future models so that there is an effective zero dBmV drop across the ten-tap? It's pretty rare that we see +18dBmV or so at a signal source
