@@thejenfo Yes, keep on! Perhaps I should post my beginner guitar playing. I guess that is a metronome you play along with - it adds a nice beat like a drum.

@@dimwitsadvocate6264 it's actually an app called Strum Machine. It works as a back up guitarist for my beginner fiddling.

@@thejenfo So the app is playing on your phone? I'm going to look up that app.

@@dimwitsadvocate6264 yes, and I have my phone playing it on an external bluetooth speaker. You can play songs they already have in their library, or you can make your own songs. You can even edit songs in the library if you want different chords at different times. It also will repeat the song as many (or as few) times as you like. You can change the speed/tempo. There is even a feather which will automatically speed up the song by however many beats per minute (BPM) you like each round so you can learn to play faster. It was worth the purchase for us. Hope you have fun with it!

@@thejenfo I've always wondered how anyone can play a fiddle when it has no frets like a guitar or mandolin.

@@dimwitsadvocate6264 it's pretty tough compared to my Ukulele. My intonation is not perfect but since I've only been playing a year and a half, I figure it will come in time.

That's very kind of you - I try to pay close attention to my intonation. Of course, I can still hear little flats and sharps here and there. I think this was an easier song for me to figure out by ear than some others. I'm trying to teach myself a new song each day. This was yesterday's effort :)

@@modelenginerding6996 Oh it's not an interruption, it was welcome - and they were just walking down the path that was right behind us. It's a main path with people selling food and other wares and has a lot of traffic. It's expected at a Renaissance Faire :)
