Many bongoceros use tricks to imitate maracas-rhythms when they play Son or Bolero. In this tutorial I will explain how to use the fingers individually so you will get the right effect.

I maybe wrong, but is that an abacua rhythm?
Well, for me it is a mixture of Bembé, Rumba Columbia and Abacua... He created his own rhythms out of those many styles.

I am new to music so I do not really know much about the vocabulary. But is mambo not played in "triple tempo" after the first beat? Because you have 9 notes following and play them three times as fast.
