      Thanks Peter. It was certainly a challenge at the time. Now that I am home and nice and warm and dry, i can look back and certainly say I am glad I did it. If I can give any advice or if I were to do it again I probably would use my kayak instead of my heavy canoe It would be much easier to carry over all the debris I also would leave it a little later for when the water is flowing a bit better. Cheers and thanks for the kind words and for watching 👍😀

      Gday Mick. Yeah, almost made it mate. The mouth was only a 1/2 km from where I started fishing below the bridge. It’s been a very dry autumn/winter season this year and nearly and all the mouths from Warrnambool to the south Australian border have been blocked at some stage due to lack of water flow. The Merri mouth was open but still had a heap of sand deposits not far from the bridge hence why I couldn’t quite make it to the mouth. Say gday to all and hope everyone is doing well 👍

    Hi Craig, Can this battery run power for dometic fridge 25L? If can how long can run the fridge without charging up the battery? Thank you

    • @craigtsadventures7414
      @craigtsadventures7414 Před rokem

      Hello Nora. This certainly supports your dometic fridge.. In most stores, I believe the new dometic fridge comes with standard 12v and 240v cable. There is connection points for both 12v and 240v on the powerhub unit that will enable power to be supplied to your fridge. BCF also sell dometic cables with Anderson plug connectors mounted on the end of the cables. I highly recommend getting one of these as Anderson plugs have a nice secure fitting. Your standard 12 volt connector can often work loose when commuting. There is also an Anderson plug connection socket mounted to the powerhub unit. The dometic fridge roughly draws 40 - 50 watts out of your battery when running. The powerhub unit has the capacity to draw upto 300 watts, So your fringe will have no problems running from this unit. As for how long it will run, we’ll that will depend on your battery. I recommend getting a deep cycle battery. I can’t give you an exact time but with a deep cycle battery you should roughly get 12 to 18 hrs before it will need to be re changed. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 😀👍

    Nice back flip Craig, just as well you didn't have a heart monitor on or it probably would've had smoke pouring out of it. :)

    Does this box support lithium battery? Can you charge the box using solar while attached to a portable fridge simultaneously? What I'm asking is that could you charge the battery while drawing power to the fridge at the same time. Also vice versa at home using the AC while being plugged to the fridge. Good video bud. Keep it up 👍

      Yes it does support lithium batteries. My power pack is continuously been charged through my 12 volt system whilst commuting. My fridge is running through the power pack and keeping the fridge cool at the same time.. This same process can be done whilst stationary using solar panels or your typical 24 volt power supply.. Hope this helps. 👍

      Hi mate Is there a way to charge the power hungry via the cigarette lighter without hard wiring thru the alternator?

    Loved your work Craig, even though it took me some time to find it....reminded me of a great weekend I had years ago fishing the Merri and Gillear
