Rust oddly enough makes more sense than Golang for me I just have no reason to use rust đ„Č
So where are the html files and stylesheets stored? Please don't say in the API codebase.
sorry but javascript isn't a language. its a trash
all loaded at once (only lazy load images it seems), almost no state changes
I know JavaScript but for me to learned react was hard
You forgot the most important thing: Junior = no jobs
Best explanation!!! Finally someone said this
I have been following up Lydia since 2018. She is a great communicator and she inspired me to continue my tech path. It's really awesome to listen to her experiences. Thank you so much.
Just don't use JS. It's literally not necessary and any website can be written to operate without it. It's also advised to just have JS disabled for security.
Still confuses me đ ...
@FrontendMasters you should be linking the course & pinning the comment.
good tip, thanks!
A good programming language is predictable, error proof and easy to read. God I hate JavaScript đ€Šđ»ââïž
I assume htmx also works with HTTP3?
Bro really had to flex with his wife and kids.
I don't get how this is special.
God, I don't understand why you are all not more popular. These topics are so important.
I'm watching this as I pushed some really bad code, production is currently burning. They let me an intern do it.đą
we call interpreter vs compiler
Ah, so we went back to the good ol' days of serving and replacing some html with some Ajax request.
Node.js and the browser use the same runtime in the Chrome browser. This gentleman is wrong. What he refers to, incorrectly, as a runtime is the APIs available. Node.js and the browser provide access to different APIs. The runtime deals with garbage collection and other housekeeping tasks that are required at runtime.
but you can have different runtime like spidermonkey
Dang ,had to check this is really fast đ„
I like Scott, great course!
how can I get this for free?
The reason why it's a piece of crap, doesn't change that it IS a piece of crap.
I †JavaScript
So the egg came first or the chicken
Am i correct that the only difference between rebase and merge is a an additional merge commit? What happens when you have a conflict with rebase
There is no way I'm finding the full video in your channel.
What is runtime?
We use to call "runtime" the software that runs your code. Most modern languages dont compile to native code and runs alone with the OS. They have interpreters, garbage collectors and/or virtual machines between your code and the hardware/OS.
I love Primeagenâs quirky personality and he is one of the top tech content creator but i guess teaching requires different skillsets. For me the first thing he needs to do is slow down (in actual videos) , use some diagrams, type slow and break down the concept for the beginner audience etc. However, if he is trying to hit already established engineers as his audience then he is going great job. PS - Just a constructive feedback, I still enjoy his content â€
Is there any usage of such type?
Js is node difference to node
Isnât go a backend language?
Yeah, but it's CSR in this case, not SSR(server side rendering). That means Go is just providing the FE with APIs, not actually generating the static Html code and sending it back to the FE
:D
Great lecture Jen! âš
I smell some witch stuff
Also it makes sense that your car keeps breaking down when you ifind out that under the hood the parts of made of plastic and not aluminum or steel. That doesn't make the crapiness of your car okay.
Yes, Javascript is fundamentally broken. Always has been, always will be. ECMAScript fixed nothing. The DOM is stupid the whole thing is stupid. Go look at Inside Mac volumes 1-3 to see how to do all of this correctly (but don't use Pascal).
They are soo good at frontend they don't do frontend development because they push everything to the backend.
"they don't do SSR", server side rendering
Node.js and chrome are both built with the V8 engine by google!
As long as you can imagine it, you can build it đ
finally a black coder
What are they using, what tech stack ?
"if you know JS you need 90% of node" oh yes, it would be nice if it was true
Show this guy a Makefile to blow his mind lmao. Hello 1972
i am still using jquery load for my development đ
Yeah, the web was pretty good before Javascript totally broke it. And I bet you could link to everything too, huh?
parent: position: relative child: position absolute, top: -1000px, left: -1000px
Best explanation on CZcams
Many optimizations we try to add, like server side rendering, are fixing just bad code. Many web developers don't know the basics. First learn just HTML, CSS and native JS. Many new developers start with frameworks, and doesn't know the base. 20+ years ago, we have to learn the basics, and learn how to optimize for the browser and user. I also don't wanted to use e.g. jQuery, and later React, because it makes the web a lot time too fat. I love JS, but frameworks are nice, but makes the site fat, and you need more time to optimize.
