Amazing video good work god bless the victims we shall remember them all 🙏🏼 amazing to see people still leave flowers pennies x
What a treat! Brilliant documentary!❤
@@leecevictoria481 thank you so much! 🙏❤️
The Viewers are speaking 😂
+@TateCats 😂😅🤣
What is the point in your video
Bruh
Hills corner shop and Marios hairdressers legends of the high road. Leos when it first opened was a main event after we lost sainsburys to a fire.
@@annabel652 I remember Leo’s well used to go there often I think it became a food giant before matalan if I remember correctly? 2 way traffic in the high road etc lol. Good times 😅
Aperture priority doesn’t sort out the shakes. I live in Leytonstone ❤
+@DawahDigital I been using manual mode for vlogging but I find it painful to keep adjusting filters etc to get the exposure and prefer it if it does that sort itself I might try shutter priority keeping it at 60 whilst my filming mode is 30 double the frame rate see how that works. Any recommendation?
@@Rickyivesofficial yeah the 180 degree rules is perfect for this. Try auto white balance - it may sort it out for ya.
Harris house is named after steve Harris founder member and bass guitarist of iron maiden.he was born in Whipps Cross Hospital in march 1956. And lived at 40 Steele rd until he was about 20 years old .he attended cannhall rd school and passed his 11 plus and went to Leyton county high for boys were he studied architecture.he left when he was 16 years old and one of his early jobs was a road sweeper with Waltham Forest council.doing the high st and hoe st .he formed iron maiden on Xmas day 1975 and played there first gig at the cart and horses pub Stratford in 1976 and the band earnt £10 .harris house the apartment block was built about 10 years ago and steve Harris was invited to the opening.but sadly he was on a uk tour with iron maiden and couldn’t make it .he now lives in the Bahamas and is worth $30m .not bad for a local boy .
@@leytonorient1973 little fun fact also My dad Richard Ives used to work with him on the dust carts bin collectors my dad was born in 1947 so must of been mid to late 60s that they worked together
@@leytonorient1973 my dad worked on the council with him ⬆️
@@Rickyivesofficial superb .also I see you went to Davies lane school .Jonathan Ross went there from 1965 until 1971 .then went to norlington boys from 1971 until 1974 .then for the last couple of years of his schooling he went to Leyton county high in Essex rd from 1974 until 1976 .he lived at 78 montague rd and Graham gooch the England and Essex cricket captain lived at number 34 montague rd .
@leytonorient1973 well I was broke in 87 and I must of attended there from about the age of 4 upwards I suppose I remember outside very well the drinking fountain to the school, I knew jonathon and Paul Ross lived nearby I beleive Paul was married to a woman called Anita who is a local resident still and quite a close family friend 😮
Great memories & Video But the Music Is too loud and overtakes most of the spoken commentary.
Thank you for the feedback it’s much appreciated. I noticed that also and have since gone back and re learnt a few things regarding editing audio which I believe I have now fixed that issue for future video content 🙏
None of the victim photographs, save for Annie Chapman, are authentic.
Very very gooood! I love!💙💙💙
Thank you! 😊 ❤️🙏
Omg I love this !❤
Thank you! Just a short one I filmed and edited today quickly ❤️
Wonderful. I admire your delivery of historical information. Historian Gary Lewis, my friend, shared your video with me.

Hi Ricky I was the postman at st Patrick’s cemetery in 1986 .and a movie was there starring bob Hoskins and Mickey Rourke called a pray for the dying .one of the scenes was shot in st Patrick’s.and a man called john Morrison was campaigning for a grave for Mary kelly .he bought to the attention of Mickey Rourke and he paid for her gravestone and still maintain s it to the present day .which is why it looks so immaculate.also a witness to the first murder of Polly Nichols on bucks row was a coachman called Robert paul who discovered the body with Charles letchmere .is buried in an unmarked grave in st Patrick’s cemetery.
Wow have you ever found Robert Paul’s place of rest? I am very interested in the lechmere as a suspect seems like a lot of evidence pointing toward him as the main suspect to me
Good video, I like this history content
+@hollypearce7262
+@hollypearce7262 thank you next video will great!!!
😮😮😮 brilliant!!!! Great video!!! Getting better every time! This one was don’t beautifully! Keep it coming!! ❤
THANK YOU! 🙏 Was a great experience walking around the locations and visiting the graves!! Very surreal Will look at re doing another similar video like this!
Enjoyed the historic photo overlays particularly. Curious why you didn't do a close-up of Catherine Eddowes plaque ?
@@sheriffzebedee I do have some more content form that day, I’m still working at perfecting my videos and would love to redo this one at some point with more detail and points made thank you kindly 🙏❤️ I do have some footage of the Catherine eddowes plaque but it was not fully useable due to lighting an error on my part
I look forward to seeing more of your videos. 👍@@Rickyivesofficial

Great Video! I remember there use to be an Elite Chinese restaurant called Chopsticks on the High road, not sure if its there anymore though
@@Londonechoes yes, chopsticks in the highroad I remember this was like a Chinese buffet. Unfortunately not there anymore. I believe it is now the shop which is called a homies on donkeys which seems to be a Mexican style restaurant. Thank you for your comment 🙏❤️
I tugged on my cocktail sausage until I made tartar sauce.
Good video 😊
Thanks 😁
Wow ❤
Discovery. On the morning of 9 November 1888, the day of the annual Lord Mayor's Day celebrations, Kelly's landlord, John McCarthy, sent his assistant, ex-soldier Thomas Bowyer, to collect the rent. Kelly was six weeks behind on her payments, owing 29 shillings.
I have taken plenty of photo's in loads of Cemeteries. There is no law prohibiting photography in UK cemeteries and the scenarios you describe are almost unheard of. Again, you may not have heard of them, but a simple Google search indicates that they do happen a lot.
As we entered in the cemetery there was 2 guys I assumed were local groundsmen, They was quite friendly and asked if I needed help, They saw I had a camera and asked if I was looking for Mary Kelly so I said I was and they pointed me in the direction, They said filming not usually permitted there without permission but on this occasion they let me through. Just something to note for next time I suppose.
I've been there quite a few times. Did know Timothy Evens is there too?
Yes I had previously heard that he wrongfully was accused of murdering his wife and he was hung and then burried here. :(
@Rickyivesofficial And baby. As you face the building go to the left then it's either the 1st or second path to the left, about half way down turn left, he has green glass pieces on his grave. My partner & I left a cart with my phone number on it, a production team were doing documentaries on miscarriages of justice & gave our card to his great Nephew & Timothy's duster (aged 97 at the time) h he phoned me a few times, spent ages on the phone, gave me a load of background information.
We want to see more videos 🎉
Plz subscribe guys for much more content planned and upcoming with already a few new videos up! ❤

If you fancy a walk around Braintree sometime soon, get yourself down to the Braintree Museum. Not sure if you can film in their though but interesting none the less. Check out Gressing Road (Braintree Town football club) as there’s a really good tribute to the late Keith Flint singer of The Prodigy. The Prodigy of course being formed in Braintree. Also check out Flitch Way. Used to be the old Railway line between Braintree and Bishop Stortford. Lovely walk with information regarding wild life and history about the old railway line.
Thanks for this I will deffo be looking into this for my next days off work planned Sounds great for sure could be a very good idea for some new content
@@Rickyivesofficial no worries. Also along Flitch Way there is an old Railway Coach at Rayne Station when you get about two miles in which I think is open to the public. The station platform has now been converted into a little coffee shop. When you walk past the platform you come to what was the Railway crossing. There’s some information regarding someone who was unfortunately hit by the train I think possibly in the 50’s or 60’s
Good video sadly Mary Gillette wasn’t the landlord of Mary kelly .it was john McCarthy he died in 1934 .he identified Mary kelly at the inquest by her ear lobs .
I just subscribed to the channel, great content. I grew up on Cann hall rd and attended Cann Hall School, Lake House and Tom Hood all now gone. I left England in 1986 and now reside in the USA.
Another great video. Thank you for going down Lancaster Rd. I just managed to see my old house...thank you. Looking forward to the next video. Take care x
Thank you!!! 🙏 glad you got to see it sorry if it was just a quick shot ❤️ Hope you are enjoying the clips so far 😁 Much appreciated Rick
Very much enjoying these videos at the moment enjoying the walks and also enjoying filming the content as well as editing. Time consuming but well worth it ❤
In the 1950's me and my mates used the Lido quite a lot in the summer and spent a lot of time in the hollow ponds area.
My dad also spent a lot of his time down there would have been great to see it there doesn’t seem to be many photos or clips of it at all sadly
