They make it look so easy, such fun
電子音が主流の昨今。こういうレトロなオルゴール式の時計が復活するといいね。 電車などの駅到着メロディに使用しても良いと思います。
Quite amazing to see and hear East Anglian tunes being played anywhere outside East Anglia. Walter Bulwer is a bit of a hero amongst Norfolk musicians. I didn't realise his music had travelled at all, let alone as far as Tokyo. How did you find these tunes?
We learned it from the CD of The Old Swan Band .
@@cocomakikoizumi wow! That would be my recommendation for learning English dance music, and it is where I learnt a lot of my tunes from.
It’s not the Old Swan Band without Rod and Danny Stradling !!!
what's the name of the tune?
Wonderful
Can anyone tell me what this dance is called please.

Great playing! Tell those people in the background to be quiet and respectful of some very talented musicians! Well done!
Thanks!
日本人でこんな素敵なdiato演奏される方がいらっしゃるとは知りませんでした。 私は、castagnariをいつか購入したいのですが、どこで購入されたか教えて頂けませんか⁉️ 東京在住の方でしょうか❓
I found this clip after I had had the privilege of watching Andy Cutting play live in concerts at Burwell Bash. This clip is so gorgeous and exciting, gave me goose bumps in a good way! Many, many thanks to the uploader.
Wonderful playing...bravo,,,
As usual both sides HMM and GWM were excellent and ofcourse the music was superb.I wish that I was forty years younger.!

What can we all say the very best of Morris from a very good side ,always precision dancing ,keeping the olde tradition alive .
Just loved it all ,thanks to all of the dancers that took part ,you were all just super ,not forgetting all the musicians for playing the lovely olde English tunes . God bless you all
Unreal
This is wonderful and inspiring stuff. So much energy and lift from simple tunes, and so much to learn from listening to this pair.
Brilliant dancing ,lovely to watch .
Lovely playing ,brought back old memories.
Lovely to watch , we have no fear that the morris tradition will fade with superb dancers such as these .
Well HMM. brilliant dancers as usual ,lovely to watch .
Glad to see you guys are still playing these tunes. Excellent. Keep it up.
Ken Deeks Thank you Ken.
You are very welcome my friend. Keep it up.
Your interpretation of this lovely old tune demonstrates your technical prowess, showmanship, and advanced musical training. Alas, our Old Time music and dance has become too stylish, frenzied, and slick. For as long as I can remember, this folk music and dance is being destroyed by big Egos. A fundamental truth that has sustained us throughout the centuries is that the simpler the tune is played, the more people can be included. And it is also easier to pass onto the next generation. This principle applies to the Old Time social dances too. For the sake of future generations, please learn how to play this tune like Alan Mead: czcams.com/video/ghqFn1kTFqM/video.html
+Colman Cloonan things change, that's the nature of music and especially folk music. And the frankly shoddy technique of older folk musicians seems to be limited to british isles folk musicians. I live in Greece and Balkan folk musicians, even the ones that learnt at their grandfather's knee are technically superb. There's no reason to scratch out a tune when you can play beautifully
I never said it demanded great technique. But if you can play well then why not? But like I said, in Greece it demands great technique otherwise you wouldn't be able to produce the sound required. Personally I enjoy both. I like the scratchy recordings of old folk musicians but I also appreciate the more technically refined interpretations of modern folk musicians. Personally I think they both have character and feelings. Plus I don't think that the point of folk music is just to slavishly mimic the sound and style of older musicians. These guys are interpreting the music as they see fit with the skills that they have. Like you said, character and interpretation
+Colman Cloonan There is a distinction between doing a concert performance which is what this is and playing for dance or in a session with musicians of mixed ability. If I'm paying to see a performance I want to see technical skill and ability. If I'm dancing I want the music to lift my feet off the floor and if I'm playing in a session which I do a lot I want to be as inclusive as possible not show off and end up playing solo. The great joy in playing English music is that we get stirring melodies coupled with strong rhythms that all ability levels can join in with. Two different disciplines with different applications.
Chris Wood and Andy Cutting are an inspiration. I learnt these tunes and had a chance to play them in a local session for the first time this week. Joyful!!

We'll done!
Lovely. Just like listening to the original Old Swan Band (Johnny Adams - Old Swan Band).
Thanks!
I'm in Yorkshire England, we play this in our session, you do it very well!
Awesome, well done folks!
Great tunes and lovely playing. :-)
As a Yank who visited Sidmouth this summer for the festival, I heard Spirit of the Dance for the first time as played by Jigfoot. I was so impressed that I am bringing this tune to the attention of my bandmates in an Anglo/Appalachian band called Skipjack. These two play it so well.
