I have males that are missing feathers on the back of their heads, like they're being mated. And females have had the foam come out when I squeezed the goody boxes. I am so confused. Just when I think I have my birds separated I fi d eggs in my male cage. What am I doing wrong?

may i ask if there is a purpose to why you used 45's angle instead of using 90° angle?

Also, when you say that foam doesn't occur in females - it does - when they've been mated!

My grandma had a maggot farm a bit like that, she used the remains of mice and rats that her traps caught, it stank like you would imagine it would, but damm if the chickens didn't love her for it.

Will you be painting those timbers? the reason I'm asking is that I used them (for another project) as it is from pallets and it kind of turned black after an year. also my pest inspector was not happy on them directly touching the ground as it might invite termite. how to protect the aquaponic from termites.. thanks

We had soldier fly larvae in our composter at one point. They were great! Processed the compost in days and the quails loved them!

From personal experience I’ve found BSF larvae’s favorite foods to also include avocado (along with carcasses). There have been plenty of times when I didn’t have any carcasses or meat scraps to feed them, but their numbers exponentially grew while I had access to a ton of overripe avocados that I let them feast on.

WHATS YOUR WATER SOURCE? MUNICIPAL,WELL,RAINWATER? I HAVE MANY FISH TANKS BUT IN THE HOBBY WE USE WATER CONDITIONER TO REMOVE CHLORINE AND OTHER TOXINS HAMRFUL TO THE FISH, WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

Nice video, keep up the content. My 2 cents worth, using rockwool is great for germination and when seedling is large enough for adding to the netcup, but using it on a seedling already, is a bit of a waste. I use "rings" cut off of a poolnoodle to stabalise my lettice in the floater. Much cheaper and can be resued multiple times. Greetings from South Africa.

Is there any reason to use 2 45deg elbow vs 1 90deg elbow? My guess is to lessen the water flow speed - but wouldn't hurt to ask :)
