One of my favorite recruitment tools...Trinsly!
zhlédnutí 436Před 5 lety
There's been a lot of tools i've used in my last 4 years in recruitment, but Trinsly has been one of my favorites so far. 1. It’s easy to use - integrates really well with our two main tools - LinkedIn & humanpredictions 2. It was founded by an engineer David Samuel Kim, who built the app so #recruiters can focus on developing strong relationships w/ their #candidates 3. It has a lot of useful ...
Email Outreach Methods: Transactional vs. Personal

#PersonalizedApproach - I like to take my top 15 candidates, figure out what really motivates a candidate to make a move, and cater that #outreach to them based on what they’ve said in their profile (interests, social impact, etc.), their history, and their tenure. #TransactionalApproach - Typically will message the (final 100) candidates on that list and provide detailed information on the rol...
Outreach Strategy... for job seekers

Outreach Strategy for #Jobseekers! Mass applying on LinkedIn can sometimes get lost in an #ATS or even overlooked. Target 5 companies and try reaching out directly to people that are in the same role or that were in your position that made it to that role. LinkedIn is a powerful tool. Use it to #network & build rapport! Cheers. www.linkedin.com/in/dwayneadriano/

I'm going to be publishing a series of videos over the next month on the different types of #staffingagencies out there. The goal is to create #exposure for the different avenues a #recruiter can take so they are informed and can properly navigate their #career. This one includes the 80/20 Agency where a recruiter has the ability to earn 80% of their commissions while contributing 20% to the bu...

    Fellow technical recruiter here. I specifically work with engineers in manufacturing, construction, and energy sectors, but the key to being a successful recruiter is being a career advisor more than a salesperson. Finding the right position for your candidates is key to successful placements. Finding key pain points, recognizing career trajectories will save you from spending 15-20 hours with a candidate to find that he rather stick to his current job or accept an offer elsewhere. Sure, you can never avoid losing in the field of technical recruiting, but you can consistently perform well if you keep that in mind.

    Man, neat way to do it. My life is completely opposite. Meeting every morning in office at 8AM, then off to my office. I am in IT recruiting and I probably make about 40-60 calls a day and lock about 2-3 (10-16 per week) people up for interviews. Only way I found that worked to grow 20k in spread in my first 3Mo. I am about a year and a half in and at 60k. Only get 12% but it’s not a bad living, I think.

    I have a background in retail and insurance operations. Do you have a company you recommend to start out as a tech recruiter? I really want to get into that industry. Really want something more lucrative!

    • @baddie1dk
      @baddie1dk Před 2 lety

      Literally depends on the state, but I would say look for a smaller, tight knit company owned by someone with lots of connections in the industry. You could be a good recruiter, but that means little when your company lacks good, substantial companies to recruit for. That being said, I work in a company of three recruiters, one office manager, one account manager, and one recruiting manager. But each recruiter brings in about $300-400k of revenue each year and we all hit six figures in income already this year… and the year hasn’t even ended yet. That being said, some companies offer base salary (mine is 40k) in addition to commission. Lots of large recruiting agencies have pretty shitty commission rate (7% -13% with accrual) Mine starts at (10% but gradually goes up to 20% once I hit my yearly goal of $250k). There has been times where I would get a $12000 pay check with some of the absurdly large commission checks I get. But at the end of the day, it comes down to you! This is a brutal line of work that requires you to make 50 calls a day, 10 or more submissions to clients each week. I work from 7am to 4:30 every day with an hour lunch break but I have reflected on too many days where it’s 6:30 and I’m still working on my computer. You have to talk to many people, build rapport, expand your professional connections, and know exactly what your clients and candidates want and need. You have to be highly organized and professional if you want to succeed. I have three large white boards, stacks of post-it notes, two monitors, and numerous resources I utilize.

I’m wondering though if it’s possible for you to make a short video on the bad side of it and ways you would get around those? Could be good for us to see both the good and the bad considering how great this video was 😄 either way, thanks for the insight! That deli looked really good too 🤤

    I love your content but more than anything your mindset. I’m just entering the tech recruiting space and I am learning as I go. I’ve thought of getting an it support specialist cert just to get an overview of it to get the big picture. Do you think it’s necessary or helpful? Second question would you give an overview of the things we should know? Or it’s not that simple to break down? Would love to hear form you and connect!
