    Great video, thank you BUT where is the placement of the anchors on the 3rd piece of KTape? You mention that the strip is "slightly offset" but where on the foot? ankle? is the medial anchor placed? Thank you 💖💖

    • @enoina
      @enoina Před 12 dny

      Both of the medial anchors are placed close to the medial malleolus. One just slightly one just slightly posterior and then moving laterally.

    • @enoina
      @enoina Před 6 měsíci

      Good morning… Yes, it would certainly help. Nothing would help would be to find a physical therapist who does dry needling and have them dry needling at not only that point of the tenosynovitis but also the muscle, that inserted into that which runs along the lateral aspect of the fibula, which is called the peroneals. It’s a great combination

    How does tape reduce swelling?

    • @enoina
      @enoina Před 7 měsíci

      Excellent question...the tape is designed to lift the skin. As it does so it takes pressure of if receptors in the skin that "turn off or turn down" blood flow. If the receptors are not working well then the blood and lymph flow can "back up". So if we take pressure off of the receptors, we allow them to work properly and this can help to reduce inflammation. REALLY GOOD QUESTION! Thank you

    SUPER helpful - thank you! I'm a 29 y.o. male who's had this problem since like 13. Growing up I had really tight Achilles tendons to the point that my heels would hurt (like walking with two knives stuck into my heels) after playing any sport where a cool-down period needed to take place after (baseball, football, basketball, tennis, even golf...etc.). As soon as I was off the field for 5 mins it would already be hurting badly. Shoot, I remember them hurting while I was just sitting in the car on our way home from a game. They don't give you any post-game cool-down/stretching time at that age bc you don't typically need it lol. I believe that's likely where my problem started. Recently, the insides of my big toes have been numb and every digit on each foot, including the pads of my feet, had started burning. I thought it was related to breaking (R) and tearing multiple tiny ligaments in my ankle (R) at first, but quickly realized that wasn't possible bc it was happening in both feet. And yes, I have hallux varus on both the left and right. All that being said, after 5 mins of KT tape applied this way I started to regain feeling on the sides of both my big toes. So again, SUPER helpful! Thank you!

    Can we do scapula winging exercise even with taping?does tapping do not prevent?

  • @brigitterosales3735

    I had a hallux varus after vargas surgery in '96 and I did nothing about it until recently. Over the years, my great toe moved over so much it looked like I had an opposable toe. I began hyper-supinating to the point where I had shin and hip pain. Last month, I had a Keller arthroplasty (toe joint replacement) done on the big toe joint because it was so arthritic that they couldn't save it. I"m in the process of healing now and my DPM is taping my toe in a semi vargus position because he couldn't restore it all the way. I wish I'd known more about taping early on. I was so fed up with being off my feet for 6 weeks that I didn't go back to my first DPM for another surgery. I believe proper PT, taping and good shoes could've saved my big toe joint (and hip and shins). I've researched this extensively and the NIH has a study on the effects of taping showing that it works, but you have to do it for months. I think a therapist who knows feet could also train you how to stand and walk properly. Don't do nothing.

    Wow, this is amazing, a little over a year ago I broke my second metatarsal at work, a blunt trauma due to tripping over exposed cables. I was in an air-boot for 8 weeks and then I discovered my toe wouldn’t straighten out and I had a huge bump under the ball of my foot 🤦‍♀️ I’ll be honest with Covid going on, I opted out of PT, and they wanted to send me an hour away for special inserts which I ended up getting Covid and canceled. Beyond frustrated that I had to work with light duty throughout and in pain, I wasn’t feeling it. I am now looking for work at home because my job was management and required a lot of walking which I liked but now I’m laying in bed, foot elevated and throbbing and burning underneath where that bump is. I will try this method and hopefully find some relief. Thank you for sharing.

    Is this how you tape to prevent hamstring cramps while running. I’m trying to fix my diet issues but I still cramp at mile 20

    • @enoina
      @enoina Před rokem

      That’s a very interesting question. I’ve never been asked this before but if you’re changing your diet, obviously one of the first things you wanna do is make sure that you have good supplements that are helping to compensate for anything that you’ve lost in the big change. Secondly, I would incorporate a lot of hamstring stretching into the things that you’re doing that will make a significant difference as well. But to answer your question yes, I think this might help to reduce the cramping, which is essentially a shortening of the muscle.

    question. i did some aggressive hamstring/hip flexor stretches and now i feel a sliding/pop when i walk, behind my knee, right where this semitendonosus is. There's no pain or instability, but just an annoying pop/snap feeling at the end of the range of motion when my leg extends during walking. WHat's the treatment or issue? I know i have overly tight hamstrings. Should I continue some lighter stretches to rehab this area or complete rest?

    • @enoina
      @enoina Před rokem

      One of the things that I do with people is, tell them to continue to stretch and yes, continue to do a light stretch will be pretty helpful. But if physical therapy is an option, you might consider dry needling of that muscle. However, sometimes we find the pain that’s going on to the medial aspect of the knee can also be coming from the hip with an anterior rotation of the pelvis on that same side or a hypo mobile hip joint itself. If you can have somebody assess these movements, they can help nail it down a little bit. But I think that going from a lot of stretching to no stretching can sometimes be detrimental because doing some stretching typically keep the hamstring at bay. Sad face value. It sounds like what you are describing, is tightness that is actually creating a popping that may be snapping over the bursa sac, which is part of pes anserine
