​​@@twinklelordit may sound strange but it seem to be closest thing to true aerial insect glaive. It also let you fly very high too. But you'll see, just remember that each monsters have different amount of way to counter aerial combat, I think Diablo, Zinogre and Kirin have strong anti-aerial for that. Since Kulve is not on anymore, you can try on a Teostra, hitting it wings and tail.

Yeah fighting them is pretty fun, I wouldn't mind trying the longsword on them, I like the insect gliave against them since I could hit more then one spot at a tike depending on where I'm trying to attack them from
