Hi I'm Ali đđŒ Welcome to my project where I shoot one vintage digicam or film camera every two weeks, aka One Month Two Cameras. My philosophy is that there are #nobadcameras and whatever you already have will always be good enough. Follow me on Instagram for more photos produced by all these bodies and lenses or go to my Ebay store to pick up a digicam of your own.

For a camera to be my all-round, all-time favorite, it needs to meet a lot of criteria: excellent ergonomics, easy to use, features relevant to my needs, simple menus, good image quality, solid value, diverse lens selection and most importantly, it has to be a fun. Unboxing Digicam Pocket Cameras with CCD Sensors
I am enjoying your site. New here to me. I used my Fujifilm S5 pro for about 10 years to photograph Architecture. I used the Tokina 12 to 24mm atx lens. They were a good combination. The camera was bought to use along with a Nikon D70s which was my first DSLR. I picked that up with the Nikkor 18 to 70mm lens which is also pretty good. The photos were developed with Lightroom 4 in raw. I found that you could slightly overexpose as you could pull back a large amount of detail in the highlights. I have 30x20 prints made with both cameras and they look fine from 12inches from the photos. Petty good for the age of these cameras. Yes I did have to sharpen the S5 pro for large prints. When taking portraits it becomes a completely different camera as the images become super sharp. Perfect for weddings. I read somewhere that the megapixel count of the sensor is closer to 9 megapixels. Though I think the D70s was pretty similar in resolution. The colours are very different. The S5 pro colours are special. More film like. I retired the camera a few years back. I am getting older and the weight was becoming an issue. Thank you for your reminder of times past with the S5pro. I still have my camera and it's a keeper.
Very good user review, thank you ! I own it since 2019, it's an extraordinary Leica, with gorgeous SOOC DNG colors. Yes it's big, but still a joy to use with any kind of lenses. Definitively a keeper !
I got one about 1.5 months ago. All rubber grips have to be replaced and the memory card door is broken and needs replacing, but it still shoots and the pictures it delivers are exquisite.
WOW - Great review. I got to check out this Panasonic.. and maybe add to my Panny collection.
Sounds like you really need a another GRII lol why didnt you just get that?
Although you fool us easily, I know it's you and not the camera.
đ
I've been very lucky with all the cheap CCD sensor digicams I've bought so far. I love the old HP Photosmart digicams from the early 2000's. Thanks for the video!
Hi! One thing people rarely mention about the D700's sensor is that it has the biggest pixel size ever on a sensor! That's the reason for it is a sweet spot between FF and resolution. And, also why it's so good at low light. I specially love it because it has the most similar film look I ever saw on a digital camera. Even when you enlarge it. Color is great - and I don't even tweak the controls, all are on the standard. Another point: is has buttons! I'm not a fan of menus :) And its buttons are very similar to my F100 so moving from one camera to the other doesn't screw my brain, hahaha! I shoot mostly film with my F2 and F100 and find the D700 the perfect digital addition to my system! Thanks for the video! All the best!
I purchased my first camera while in Okinawa Japan it was the Canon AE1- Program which I love, later before returning to the U.S I purchased Minolta 7000 Maxxum which I loved even more. Both are great film cameras. Thank you for the video new subscriber to your channel.
When you watch a photography video with this much buzz... you just instinctly subscribe. đđđ·đâ€đ
Haha! I am unaware of any buzz, but thank you so much đ đđ»
I saw this video, and your video praising the LX100 and laughed. I own both. I use the LX100 to walk around with, and for video and photos of people / my kids, I use the G9. I foresee them being useful for a long time.
Have you ever gx9 + 20mm 1.8? Consider: - 20 megapixel delish - screen tilt - evf tilt - why? - built in flash I think canât remember never use - v nice - ibis (bin chicken?) - exposure comp dial - focus mode switch - changea-the-lens-a-wheneva-u-like
Iâll keep using my Ricoh gX200 for that price lol
what did you use to shoot this video ?
A Sony fx30
@@OneMonthTwoCameras looks great

Please redo the Olympus e300 đ
I did a model test shoot with the D Lux 7 two days ago and couldnât get on with it at all⊠the auto brightness is cool but I really struggled in sunlight, the face detect only works when youâre quite close? I also prefer the Center point and recompose. Compared to my XT30 II from Fuji it felt weak and the menu is a lot even though people claim Leica is so easy to set up? Changing the display brightness isnât even possible in the Q menu and in sunlight I struggled stopping the camera down without increasing to f8 or higher so maybe I will need to take my ND filter more often. I loved the specs on paper but the menu was chaos for me idk. Maybe Iâm just not skilled enough yet đą
Thank you for the tip!
My pleasure!
Love the wedding photos too. WhatÂŽs the name of your photographer? <3
She was a wonderful woman in the UK named Anna but she is no longer photographing sadly.
â€
It's 2024 now. The price landscape has changed WILDLY. Old digicams have become CRAZY expensive (at least here), and it's more common to find an old SLR or SLT and a few lenses for the price of a 10+ years older point-and-shoot digicam.
To this day I still shoot weddings portraits everything with a 5DMKIV. Period.
Hello, do you still have the X2? Can you share your camera settings and how you edit them? Just got the X1. Lovin it! <3
Can you feed negatives through it?
No this is for prints only
This might sound counterintuitive due to it being quite a recent release, but I really like the Nikon Z30 with the 24f1.7 for nice colours in a pocketable format. âïž
I have the same keyboard and for the scanner another device I have no real need for but now I really want one.
there
I used one for over a decade and loved everything about it apart from the size and weight! I know a fairly famous pro who still uses one in 2024! I don't get the whole colour magic thing though - all Nikon cameras have great colours, but it's no better than my Z6. Z6s are a fantastic option if your budget can stretch a bit higher, now the new mkiii is out they're getting cheaper.
Thanks for the video. I recently into vintage Leica digital. Are you still keeping this camera? I am so used to touch screen focusing and will that cause some trouble when using it?
Thanks! I am loving this camera, based on your recomendations.
Oh my thank you so much!!!
I love the B&W, wish it wasn't as rare.
Well, after watching another video of yours, I end up buying another camera... And those videos affect the prices of old camers on ebay for sure! ;)
Oioioi :P
How are you likening the quality for Polaroids ? That speed has me staring at my epson v600 dreaming it was that fast
I e been remarkably impressed.
I have the v2 so still using it although the z50 is getting heavy rotation lately just too lazy bust out the d810
Thank you, loved the intro. I'm in a similar situation and this looks like the answer. Time to take the hammer to the piggybank!
đâïž
if its about storage, you still need to store old prints so your storage problem wont change unless you throw photos away what youd be a real sinn
what camera is this shot on?
this was shot on a Sony fx30
hi.. i just my c-70 today !! can u teach me what setting u use to get photo like u ? â€â€
Bought the scanner 3 months ago. Yup, I love it. But taking the photos out of the albums is another story altogether.
Especially if you had any of those albums that used adhesive strips.
I slowed the playback speed down to .25 to enjoy these more! ...while catching a Brooke Shields Polaroid!
So young, right??!

Thank you so much!!
great device. your kids will have a wonderful archive.
So glad to have discovered it
Whoa! That is impressive. Thanks. & I do love a good slide show. It's almost a lost art.
It really is!
Slideshow and music accompaniment on point! I need thisâŠand the someone to stand by the scanner đ I started digitizing our photos in very early 2000s on a flatbed scanner and gave up pretty quickly - I think Iâm still traumatized as just thinking about it triggers a ânopeâ in my head (and I very much doubt I will find the same gems you have in your collection) and great video as always đ
I had the same ptsd which led to so much of my skepticism, but I was happy to have been worried about nothing :)
woah that monitor is so high up, is it comfortable to have it so above eyesight?
Itâs a standing desk so when I raise to standing itâs the right level :)
@@OneMonthTwoCameras oh hahahaha that makes sense! thanks for clarifying lol I was distracted during the video by that but it's actually a really good one!
Oh man, I started to do this with a scanner I had. I got paranoid of jams. And it was far slower and didnât have that software. I feel like I need to revisit this. I was just going to take photos of my photos. But I have a lot of curved 4x6s, lol. How does that handle actually?
It's been flawless, even with a lot of pretty messed up prints of mine. I feel like I need a little follow up demo of all the types of prints Ive scanned so keep an eye out for that.
That photomontage at the start... wow!
So many memories...

@@hendrixg đ„č feels so core to my meaning of life đ„č
Allie, that is so cool. My cousins are coming for the weekend tomorrow and we are going to go through all the old photos of our grandparents, or parents and us as kids (I am the baby and I am 64). The photos go back to the 1910's. I made a Blurb book with the plans for everyone to take a ballpoint pen and write the names, dates and info into the book to gather that info. I can then redo the book with all that info so copies can be made for all the generations. The limits are 1) My grandparents on my mother's side 2) Their children (my mom, her spouse, my aunts and uncles) and 3) their children (my siblings and cousins) only up to the age of adulthood. We have to have a start and stop. I can create a similar book starting with my parents and ending with adulthood of my children and their cousins. The challenge is being the curator. We have to limit the content so future generations can consume it.
How amazing that you're doing that! I have such a small family that it is a bit easier I imagine on my side but still, just so many photos so quite the project regardless...
