Did you hear the audio que? Did you try moving on with the setup regardless of the blue light shift? This was an older doorbell so things might have changed a little with the new version.

I had something like this happen too. I drained the battery completely, left it out of the box for about 3 days then removed the box from the app and went through the setup process again.

It would work but it would not keep the battery topped off if it does not have access to sun light.

Can you shove the wiring back in the wall where it was originally? If not you may need to use the wedge plate. Thats what I ended up doing.

First thing I always like to do is make sure the firmware is up to date to make sure it is not a bug that was fixed. I have not been able to re create this myself, so it might be worth setting up a rutine to make sure that every day to tells the camera to make sure it is in the mode you want.

@@Wanderer001_Reviews_Clips it updated the firmware right after I connected it to the Wi-Fi and my phone using the app. But essentially, I managed to turn it off yesterday, but the glare on the glass is still dazzles the sensor. I was planning to use it outside anyway, I just bought a USB extension and going to relocate it, so the glass glare should not be a problem anymore. Thanks for the reply! 🙂 All the best! 🙂

Hard for me to say as I don't use this as part of a cctv setup. If it needes to be powered off every 3 to 7 days it might be worth setting up a routine to have the camera automatically reboot.

This camera is a battery powered camera. It can not be used as a 24/7 recording camera. For that you would need a camera that plugs into a power source.

Sadly you would need to remap the entire floor to add a new room to the map.

For setup no. But if you want to record things that it sees you will.

Charging via the solar roof or actaully plugging it in?

@@Wanderer001_Reviews Actually I did just plug it in using two different cables as I stated. I left it sitting out in the sun today - plugged in. So far no charging. Pretty certain what I received is simply defective.

Yes, this camera uses Bluetooth to setup instead of the QR code that Wyzed used in older cameras.

The camera will let you know that someone is there so you would be able to call them, or text someone back home and have them call.

@@raashabdullah2705 I understand what you were asking. But this camera does not have that option. Of any of the cameras I have tested currently I do not recall every seeing this type of option.

Sadly it needs access to download the videos it takes into your cameras media.

This is because it is a battery powered camera. It is a power saving feature.

is your camera just having issues reading it? Try to do it outside in better lighting or cleaning your camera lense. That may help.

Honestly any doorbell can be stolen if someone wants to. It is not harder then a normal doorbell.
