Yep def have extra curriculars & the essays are prob the make or break it deal for all applicants. UCI has gotten so much more competitive than when I first applied and the UC essays completely changed so my advice is to prepare to show/talk about all your accomplishments !

I recall you wanting to pursue a master's. I am thinking about it for engineering. Would you say financial aid reduces costs a lot for a master's at UC?
Strenghtbadger oh I’m actually going for a PhD & in that case it would be completely free/paid for by the school. Masters degree is not and is not covered by financial aid at all :/ you’d have to apply for scholarships/fellowships & even some loans

@@thephdfoo Honestly it depends but it wouldn't hurt to try it out. It can give the video a bit more personality. After all, a good commentary can keep us engaged more.
