Program Quantum Applications with Dr. Joe Fitzsimons
I sat down to speak with Dr. Joe Fitzsimons, the founder of Horizon Quantum Computing at Q2B to talk more about quantum computing and creating quantum applications!
Horizon Quantum Computing enables software developers to write quantum applications using classical programming languages. Founded in 2018 by Dr. Joe Fitzsimons, Horizon's compiler technology automatically transforms classical code into quantum algorithms. This democratizes access to quantum computing, allowing developers and quantum experts alike to leverage quantum speedups without deep quantum expertise, aiming to make quantum applications viable for real-world use.

Use a simple story and found out it's equivalent quantum computing code for quantum executable code through the artificial intelligence🤖 and found out the⌚⚡ universe🌌 mysterious behavior😂😂😂easily😂😂😂

I genuinely hate that for people math is numbers, like: "Ah yes, i finally published my paper about parabolas and focal points in spherical coordinates" "Wow, you are so smart and good at math, what's the square root of 5" "I have not even the slightest idea"

Transforming a simple story into a quantum code program involves several steps. First, let's outline the story and identify its main elements. Then, we'll translate the story into a classical algorithm. Finally, we'll convert the classical algorithm into a quantum algorithm. Simple Story Example Let's consider a simple story: "Alice and Bob want to find out if they have the same favorite number between 0 and 7." Step 1: Translating the Story into a Classical Algorithm Alice and Bob each choose a number between 0 and 7. They compare their numbers to see if they are the same. Step 2: Classical Algorithm python Copy code def favorite_number_same(alice_number, bob_number): return alice_number == bob_number # Example usage alice_number = 5 bob_number = 3 print(favorite_number_same(alice_number, bob_number)) # Output: False Step 3: Quantum Algorithm To translate this into a quantum algorithm, we'll use quantum superposition and measurement. Specifically, we'll use a simple algorithm where both Alice and Bob encode their numbers into a quantum state, and then we measure to see if they match. We'll use the Qiskit library for this quantum computation. Quantum Algorithm Using Qiskit Import the necessary libraries. Initialize the quantum circuit. Encode Alice's and Bob's numbers. Measure the quantum state to determine if the numbers match. Here's how we can implement this: python Copy code from qiskit import QuantumCircuit, Aer, transpile, assemble, execute from qiskit.visualization import plot_histogram def encode_number(qc, number, qubits): for i in range(len(qubits)): if (number >> i) & 1: qc.x(qubits[i]) def favorite_number_same_qiskit(alice_number, bob_number): # Initialize quantum circuit with 3 qubits and 3 classical bits qc = QuantumCircuit(3, 3) # Encode Alice's number on the first two qubits encode_number(qc, alice_number, [0, 1]) # Encode Bob's number on the second and third qubits encode_number(qc, bob_number, [1, 2]) # Measure the qubits qc.measure([0, 1, 2], [0, 1, 2]) # Execute the circuit on a simulator simulator = Aer.get_backend('qasm_simulator') compiled_circuit = transpile(qc, simulator) qobj = assemble(compiled_circuit) result = execute(qc, backend=simulator, shots=1024).result() # Get the measurement results counts = result.get_counts(qc) return counts # Example usage alice_number = 5 # Binary 101 bob_number = 3 # Binary 011 counts = favorite_number_same_qiskit(alice_number, bob_number) print(counts) Explanation Initialization: We create a quantum circuit with 3 qubits and 3 classical bits. Encoding: We encode Alice's and Bob's numbers into the quantum circuit. Measurement: We measure the quantum state to see the results. Running the Quantum Code To run the above quantum code, you need to install Qiskit, which can be done using: sh Copy code pip install qiskit Then, you can run the code in a Python environment that supports Qiskit. Conclusion This approach demonstrates how a simple story can be transformed into a classical algorithm and then into a quantum algorithm using Qiskit. The quantum algorithm uses superposition and measurement to compare the favorite numbers of Alice and Bob.

Hello mam , I've tried reaching out via Instagram and email, but I haven't received a response so I'm using this comment to get in touch with you. I am truly inspired by your journey and the work you have done in the field of quantum computing. I have recently completed my 12th standard exams under the Indian board system and am now in the process of looking for a college. From a young age, I have been deeply interested in computers. Through my preparation for the JEE exams, I have also developed a strong passion for physics and mathematics. In my search for a field that combines all these interests, I discovered quantum computing and subsequently came across your channel. Your journey is incredibly inspiring, but I must admit that pursuing such a path in India can be challenging. Therefore, I am seeking your guidance on how to navigate this path. I am considering whether to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (CSE) followed by a Master's in Physics, or a Bachelor of Science in Physics followed by further studies in Computer Science. Your advice on which path to take, as well as any suggestions on what I should do alongside my studies to enhance my knowledge and experience, would be invaluable to me. In my area, there is a lack of technical expertise, and I am eager to learn from someone as experienced as you. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated, and I would be truly grateful for your help. Thank you for your time and consideration.

It has good visuals but the source information presented with each lesson is inadequate. When you have finished your only have a very high level comprehension of the concepts. The free material provided by IBM qiskit and Microsoft is much better. Good graphics but really a waste of time and money.

This type of "modern" CZcams video editing with only jump cuts all over the place is really, really annoying. No natural pauses just a constant stream of words. It's the same bad thing as (text) posts with a wall of text with no paragraphs at all. Heck it's like a wall of text with no punctuation. Just as hard to follow and really tiring to watch! A good speaker use the pauses. Cutting them out destroys a speech and therefor the vital information to be told! Had to watch it at 0.75 speed.

Since humans invented 'time' then that tiny error isn't going to affect us day to day. You say it is 'accurate' but accuracy against what? You actually mean consistant. You are defining the thing that other clocks will have their 'accuracy' measured against. This slip of grammar reveals how misinterpreted time is, we use it so much we simply never think what it actually is. Yes, humans invented time - it isn't 'real'.
