I still remember lyrics to some favs. If you go with me to the holler,.... Been a fan for 50 plus years. This is music that gets your foot tapping, and puts a smile on your face, while making the day a little brighter.
Got it and will learn it - see you manyana
BB brought me here too 😊
Brene brown me too
2024 e estou aqui pela Brene Brown
Eu também!
Brene Brown… me too
Another great tune by the Dawg
Breve Brow❤
Perfect….. message and truth in this song
Hank Williams brought me here 👍👍
Você tem razão Brené Brown! 😢
THIS is how Music is supposed to be. Half the reason it sucks now because the "artists" are nothing more than faces picked by producers to sell the "product"... that's what it's been reduced to. Personalities like Jimmy, self-made, head strong, uncontrollable people... aren't even let through the gate.
Exactly
Absolutely beautiful and very well done.God bless you Jimmy thanks
The Grand Ole Opry never deserved Jimmy Martin. They were a click. Remember the Outlaws weren’t accepted by the Opry either. Some criticize Martin because he saying he was egotistical. What Jimmy Martin was was open and honest and you saw all of him including his flaws. Sad that a lot of people think you have to be perfect. You know…like they are
Jimmy . If you can hear my request.. PLEASE SING :RUN PETE RUN"
My Dad use to sing this song to us.
Tripp Miller you are 💯 percent right . Jimmy was one of a kind. Like John Wayne. I bet the Duke liked bluegrass. Bluegrass is music for true American men .
Rip Charlie
I love this song. Thanks for the post.
One of my fathers favorite 😊
I cant say I honestly knew Jimmy Martin in his day but Ryan Upchurch is picking up his torch and caring it on, living and representing the same life and helping spread Jimmys name and legacy. HB Texas
Good for you! That's where I grew up a long time ago and currently living way up Beaver Creek in Floyd County.
I heard he was hateful to a fan and I like his music but if you hunt eat what you kill I don't believe in coon or owl hunting
Bob wills and Jimmy Martin ego cage fight... Go!
And every song he sang there was a purpose for every song that Keith Whitley sang
Lost Keith Whitley way to soon at the age of 34 years old when he passed away from alcohol addiction at the age of 34 years old when he passed away his music lives on forever too my favorite COUNTRY music singer and always will be number one as well got to see his grave and it's was very great too see it as well and his music lives on
Brene Brown sent me!
Ah luv it!
trying desperately to find out song name at 8:20 !!!!
Bill Monroe didn't approve of drinkers. Unfortunately, this included Jimmy Martin.
This is the “grande ol’ oprey” out by the highway by this point?? In that whole era they degraded themselves totally even WITHOUT snubbing The King of Bluegrass!?
I couldn’t be prouder to have sung a agréa Jimmy Martin tune since for ever. Not even knowing about him really. But to sing his music is to know him.
Mr. Argell of Nashvulle, and now Stillwater Oklahoma, knew jimmy!"Oklahoma AL Munday country" I love bluegrass! Mr. Moncure bandja player my brother from "Holycross Ranger district Minturn Colorado " hallelujah!!! And "soggy" lol
Piss on the Opry they didn't let Hank Sr in either, I think he was inducted after he died but while he was alive they wouldn't touch him.
From Blue Tick hounds to Bluegrass music, the man was real and sang what he felt.
Mr. Jimmy Martin, THE Voice of Bluegrass!
Jimmy I love you ❤️
What happened to this earth, its a lesser place without ole boys like this
One of a kind
BRENE Brown led me here BRAVING THE WILDERNESS
My Dad loved Jimmy Martin and l do too. He always put on a good show and was a great performer. He was the real deal. I truly enjoyed watching every minute of his story. Yep he was the King of Bluegrass. And definitely belonged in the grand ole opery. He’s a true American Bluegrass legend
Jimmy Martin is the George Jones of bluegrass.
Better than I thought it would be. Just finding out Jimmy's story. Sad.
Most underrated musician of all time. An a heck of good ole boy.
Its a shame the opry denied jimmy of any promotion and respect considering the garbage they allow on stage today. I never been so disappointed and disgusted as the trash the opry allows on stage now. Nashville is an absolute damn disgrace. The whole of country music is dead and the crap that’s on the radio now is an absolute disgrace.
Me too😂
I just lost my dad and this song was all i could think about.
God Bless Jimmy Martin! Legend
Just a regular hard working man with a G-d given talent unique in all the world.
Censoring the word “God” is about the dumbest thing ever
@@bobthabuilda1525 Try this for an explanation, "(Deuteronomy 12:4) prohibits us from erasing, destroying or desecrating the name of G‑d. We live in a world that in constantly changing, nothing is permanent. What is "in" today is "out" tomorrow. Only the Creator remains permanent never changing with time and never being effected by things around Him. We celebrate the Creator's stability by ensuring that His written names or anything else that represents Him, is not destroyed." It is not censorship but a reminder that we are not permanent but that the creator is and we will not desecrate his name by spelling it out fully.
God is Real. This man is proof.
