Had one of the most fascinating chats with Tomas (Atmos) circa 2006. Was helping with an Australian festival he was playing at, and he said from the lifted vantage point of the stage he can see the crowd and how they move. Effectively what he's doing is mass hypnosis - and he said from stage you can see a random swell of movement and then it gradually synchronises as his set develops. About 15 - 20 mins in the randomness disappears and suddenly the sea of dancers start moving as one..."that's when I know I've got them" - he said. That's when they're hypnotised.

I love how the Shankra intro is in beautiful stereo sound with a soft, smooth. honeyed voiceover, teasing us in before switching to a left-channel only atrocity of a recording of the person we actually clicked on the video to listen to. Truly groundbreaking.
