Back to building the off-grid cabin after total hip replacement
This project has been on hold for a long time! First I tore my shoulder, then blew out my back, the my hip went bad. I still have a bummer shoulder and back but this new hip has brought me back to life.
It will still take time to get this done as I have to take lots of breaks for my back but I'm moving forward again! I am so grateful.

Opened the brooder to clean it and 2 of the chickens flew the coop! I had to trim their wings to keep them brooder-bound just a little longer. I wish I had a video of me chasing them around the room! Did you use baffles in the ceiling? If not any problems with mold?
No baffles here. This is a very arid climate so no mold.

One year later how is the paneling holding up? Do you have any issues with it bowing or sagging? I was told I’d have to put extra blocking in to prevent that and was curious
Bowing and moisture also warps it. Use wood if you can. Mdf is horrible
did you all have a P or J trap on the sewer outlet line??
They are basically the same thing. Technically is a P trap - U with the cross pipe.

Congrats on your work! Those corner pieces to attach the drywall to are referred to as "California corners". They are easier to put in before you raise the wall. According to the folks who make insulation, stapling to the inside of the stud does insulate better, but looking at their infrared tests, there wasn't a huge difference between stapling on the outside.

Why are you wearing a cloth face mask? does it help with this insulation process?
I was doing this at the start of Covid and couldn't find any of the masks you can usually get at hardware stores to protect your lungs from the insulation fibers. I improvised. I would recommend using the real construction masks so you don't breath those fibers.

Window placement can make a big difference in air flow in a small space. It's also easy to run a small air conditioner in a small space.

Glacier is still there. Technically, it was never a real glacier. It is more like a snowfield at the end of a short hike. I believe after years of people saying "its a snowfield not a glacier" the name was changed. People still call it SMG.
