Using active track even better with #djimini3pro and DJI RC Controller thanks to adaptor!!

I baught a handle bar mount for the RC controller. This is one of the controller options for the DJI Mini 3's, DJI Mavic range and more. It did drop at one point but stayed locked on for a long time given how small the DJI Mini 3 Pro is. I would recommend handle bar mount...

Good work Gareth!
Great video bud, I'm 12 weeks into Zwift (cat D) and it's videos like this I learn a lot from! got a new sub here!
Thank you!!!
Hi Gareth.. Please can you help? I have been promoted to a CAT B rider and I am getting smashed and not even finishing races some times. How do I get back into CAT C because this is were I belong.. Thank you and any help would be greatly appreciated, Andy :)
Hi sorry took so long to reply. Someone recommended it’s usually your 5 min power causing an issue. Can you do the hardest effort you can for just a few seconds over in Zwift? It may correct your power curve. Do you think it represents your true max 5 min power?
You should be in gear 16, 17,
Thanks, I’ve raced again and tried to get cadence up.
Congrats on the podium! Being "in the race" in D cat is definitely a lot more fun. If you go to C(or lower end of any category), it becomes very difficult but if you refuse to give up you'll improve from pushing out of your comfort zone.
We’ve just finished ZRL finals season I recorded the last race I’ll get it edited and up, thanks
very calm and nice video...
Thanks, Polo the cat 🐈⬛ makes it. He likes marmite
Hi mate, just come across your channel, great content I’ll subscribe👍 Just a quick complement, yes, I agree you are pushing way too higher gear, I have so much respect that you even lasted lasted this race pushing those kinds of gears huge power👍😂
Thanks, so spin more then? Did a 50 miler IRL yesterday and tried spinning more tried to stay above 90rpm
@@garethbutton I was thinking about this more yesterday mate. For me I’m 25 years old and race cat C going up to cat B. I have always been a spinner, event when I sprint I push around 125 RPM. However, my Dad, has always been more a grinder, I’ve tried to get him to spin more but he always goes back to grinding. I think the human body does what it thinks it can sustain. I would say probably grind a bit too much, my old man does around 75 RPM usually. You’ll get a lot of keyboard coach’s on here mate, you might even think I’m one of them which I fully appreciate if you ignore what I’m saying but I think a man who can grind such a big gear like that and stay with the front group has so much potential if he could just spin a bit more
Can I ask what is your height sir?
Errrrr ok 6ft 1/2 inch. Was 6,1 but spinal surgery twice has made me shorter 😂😂
Why are you pushing such a massive gear? No wonder your heart rate is so high. Try spinning an easier gear with 85-90rpm.
I think your right I need to get my cadence up
Except more cadence puts more strain on the cardio, slower cadence pots more strain on the muscles and joints themselves. So with higher cadence you should see higher HR
@@jujurm It seems you’re right about this, but I still think experimenting with a higher cadence would be worthwhile. I never get out of the saddle or above gear 12 on zwift and my HR average is rarely above 135/140..
@@rolandhoward8421i agree with you for the gears though, even if it depends a lot on his trainer difficulty setting. The main focus needed here is trying not to burst as much à he is, and keep a steady pace as much a possible Too many violent efforts do burn some matches that you won’t have later on
@@jujurm You can use both back and forth for different situations. Like uphill slow it down, and if you're cruising in a pack or or downhill spin a higher gear for some recovery.
Great vid guys.. I’ve done a fair few Glorious gravel events always fun well done 😊 Pete 🚴🏻👍

Nice thanks Pete. Didn’t go that well in DIRT series getting flattened 😂
Spent many enjoyable hours at Burton Dassett - as a child on picnics with my parents and days out in later life. Though never quite the same post M40, such is progress!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice video you can tell there's alot of effort put into it
Thank you very much!
Very pretty bike. What length stem on those Winspace bars and what width bar? Relaxing watching a bike build. David 🇮🇪
80mm Stem and I think 38. Normally have 40cm but wanted to go narrower as on my old bike I get shoulder pain. Seems comfy, when it’s drier I’ll ride it more and review.
Nice! Looks beautiful! How much did you get the deal with the wheels + frame + handlebar? Also, which size frame is that, and what width handlebar/stem length? Thanks! Enjoy!
Was Black Friday deal in sterling pounds, frame, bars and wheels £1900. 80mm stem with 38cm bar width.
@@garethbutton Nice deal!
Hi, cool work! We'd like to collaborate, how can we get in touch? :)
Looks awesome. Definitely feels like the reach on mine is less compared to my other bikes, but that makes it feel more manoeuvrable
Thanks, yeah feels really nimble. My old bike has 25mm tyres as well so this feels a little nicer on the bumps on the 28mm tyres
Amazing- you fel into the same trap as me, 'budget build' turns into expensive but beautiful aero monster. The red looks awesome
Your valve caps are awesome. Love the white and black as well such a close call. They seem so well made. Wicket value for money but yes mechanical 12 speed would have been cheaper 🤣😂
And the weight?
Hi, I don’t have decent scales to hang it from. Hoping to take to local bike shop and get weighed as part of the review in the next one. I am hoping for say 7.8kg but I really don’t know.
Weight is nearly irrelevant for performance. Aerodynamics and stiffness matter way more and that's something nobody can measure at home
I have weighed at the bike shop now. 7.4kgs no pedals or bottle cages though
Great video and very helpful
I like to tinker and DIY. I've been wanting to do something like this for a while. Maybe I have a project this year!
I’ve really enjoyed the build. Take your time don’t force things to hard and you should be good. It’s been kind of relaxing except when a cable got stuck 😂. Good luck I’ll be sharing the build next. One tip when you cut steerer is don’t push on blade too hard. Other than that everything else can be done and re done if not right
Congrats I want one lol

I’m struggling to notice the difference both look great to me. Perhaps it’s because I’m watching it on my 4 year old iPhone on YT that is probably compressed anyway. Great footage though keep up the good work.
Thanks, it might be more when I edit so makes it much more obvious. If you click through frame by frame you can the jumps and skips if that makes sense.
@@garethbutton understand but most of the time I wouldn’t do that I would just watch the video. I think the more professional you are the more chance of noticing these things. Maybe my mind isn’t seeing what others see and it’s a bit like listening to music whining love listening to but often can’t hear what others would normally pick up.
I crashed my mini 3 pro when I was using active track. I was fiming following the grand children then they stopped and ran backwards towards me, instead of the drone just turning on the stop and following then back it went round in an arch and hit a tree. If i do it again I think I will turn off sideways movement. The drone just fell in to grass and I had to replace two props. So beware.
Thanks for heads up. Yeah I’ve had to replace one prop so far. I will, I’ve got an adapter to put my controller in my handlebars hoping to try that tomorrow
Mungkin hanya mimpi bisa memiliki drone ini
I like it it’s my first one and I like taking it out
Yeah, unless your end product is for the cinema I think 30fps is fine. I think it's preferred for CZcams and the like. It is a bit of minefield because you still have to take into account the refresh rate of the monitor/TV you're viewing it on. UK standard is 25fps because is had to match the cycle rate of the electricity grid , 30fps for the USA grid. You may have to shoot at 25fps to avoid flickering if you're shooting streetlamps at night, for example. Most TVs these days can switch automatically but I have found I have to change the refresh rate on the PC to match my footage or I'll get the stuttering.
Yeah your right my GoPro had this issue in my garage with the strip lights on. What FPS do you use?
@@garethbutton I think I'll go with 30. You can always shoot in 24/25 and interpret the footage in Premiere up to 30, might be handy if you want to speed it up 20% without degrading the footage.
@@AtomBom8 yeah I should try 60 for some nice slow mo.
Have you changed the colour of the bike yet😃
Not yet I should. I need to change to Galaxy purple 😜
Thankyou. Probably saved many of us from this limitation 👍👍
No problem I’m still learning. It’s been very windy here I want to be out with the drone again really
But why
So you can take off and land in the field safely. I’ve done it a fair bit now.
I love this vid, you’ve got a real friend in that cute cat. The narrative is real clear, relaxed, sound is good, video angle is good, just about everything real good.👍 I subscribed, keep up the good work! Greetings from Finland
Ah thanks, do you have a drone?
@@garethbutton Yes, a few camera drones and all the licenses required here in Finland. Mini 3 pro is my newest one. Also got some racing drones. Been flying camera drones for many years, just as a hobby. When it comes to racing drones I’m learning the basics. Used to fly rc airplanes and small helis when younger. Still do it sometimes, and build a few, but not so often.
@@kenspaceman3938 What do you think to the Avata I would like to get one.
@@garethbutton I don’t have it, I‘ve got the predecessor the DJI FPV drone, which I think is great for camera drone flyers transitioning to real race drones. The Avata is even better for this, especially in the Explorer bundle with the Integra goggles and Motion controller 2. That gives you head tracking. But if you’re going to eventually transition to real race drones you want the normal controller with sticks. Be aware though regarding the Avata drone, there’s been reports of some race drone manouvers that doesn’t work out as it should. Just search on CZcams vids about the Avata and it’s flight characteristics. I would recommend a real race drone expert on CZcams, Joshua Bardwell from the U.S.
Nice job Gareth easy to understand thank you
