The idea isn’t simply to keep the poverty unseen. People don’t appreciate being hit on for “spare change.” Homeless hanging out in an area drives customers away and lowers property values. Hostile architecture keeps customers coming back.

I don't think it's to keep poverty "unseen" we all know homeless people exist and that they have to be somewhere. The purpose of these is to keep them from sleeping directly outside businesses and on benches made for park visitors. I don't like the harshness of these but something has to be done to keep things in order.

It angers me so much to think about this subject, I hope that what goes around comes around for these evil morons designing these oppressive objects that directly hurt the most vulnerable people, while simultaneously making everyone's life less comfortable and enjoyable.

Just got a mate 20 pro. The main factors ended up being it's smaller size and the version available with 8gb ram and 256 gb storage. I store soooo many things on my phone (mostly media like music, audio books, movies, etc) I eventually hit the roof in a year or so even when I can use external memory cards, and you can't on the Mate 20 pro or X as far as I understand. I keep phones for as long as possible and are basically obsolete, so cost is ever so slightly less of a concern.

I like the flat design honestly. The hand gesture is really gimmicky but I like the hand id. Lg need to continue and make it as fast as fingerprint. It can be a very useful technology. I really wish phone stop putting everything in the screen to make it bezel less. This phone may not standout but I look at most phones these days as basically the same with a few changes.

Good overall comparison and conclusions. I have been looking at Huawei for my next phone - the Mate 20X is a beast of a phone and also has a stylus available to use with it. My question if you may have any idea is what do you think the current legal issues going on with Huawei may have on service, availability and price of these phones - especially if bought for use in the US? take note that 20 pro is IP68 water resistant under 2m water but not the 20X, that's the different, but i like the bigger screen and louder sound of 20X
