Yes, If you have the budget to afford it. The A1 was good. But after owning it for a couple of weeks I wished I had spent the $$ on the X1C. I was fortunate enough that the recall for A1 happened and was able to get a refund for it. I used that to get my X1C. The Camera on the A1 is horrible. basically unusable. It's 1080P but literally 1 FPS or less. In addition I've done some prints that were tall and a little spindly that I don't think the A1 would have been successful printing it. The A1 is an amazing printer for $400 or $550 with AMS while the X1C is $1200 or $1459 with AMS so quite a large leap. If I wasn't able to get the X1C I would have been very happy with the A1

@@StudioHawaii No, the only stringing issue I had was I used a roll of high speed PLA and didn't check the recommended temps. So i lowered the temp settings a little to match manufacturer recommendations and it worked well.

That is a Blink mini camera. I printed a bracket and mounted it there so I could monitor it remotely since the A1 camera is a bit lackluster.

I’ve have luck with Sunlu filament as well as Esun, Elegoo and Creality. All PLA though. Haven’t printed anything else

Hi thanks for watching. I’ve tried with other prints to change the purge but wasn’t happy with results. This video is played at double speed. I’ve started filming newer videos in Timelapse mode and they generally have been about 2 minutes. I think that format will be easier to watch.

@@CarolinaNative It just struck me an odd amount to speed it up, since it's still very long. When I've done videos of my painting, I speed it up at least 100X, once I even did 200X.

@@KingKool2099 Yeah. I've tried speeding up faster than that before on my A1 and the movement of the print bed was jarring sped up. I don't have that worry now with the X1C, but I've kinda stuck with it cause i was used to it. Lately I've started recording using timelapse and the videos tend to come out to about 2 minutes which i think is a much more manageable view time. I'm still trying to learn what works best and greatly appreciate everyone who watches my videos and offers feedback.

No it’s PLA. I haven’t tried printing TPU yet but hopefully I will and that’s a great idea. Thanks

Yeah I really like it. Just the camera alone able to see good video of it printing and the Timelapse it takes is worth the $$ over the P1 series for me. No regrets would buy again

Are there specific ones you want? If you do let me know and I can find them and share them. Most of the things in this montage I have the full length video on my channel and I try hard to make sure I share the links of where I got the files.

Yeah sadly. Mine is already back at Bambu. I just had a backlog of videos I was trying to space out. I replaced my A1 with and X1C and that content will be coming soon.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I had a backlog of videos that I shot with my A1 before it was shipped off. I already had them scheduled for release. I didn't want to flood the channel with a bunch of videos at one time.

The camera angle doesn’t show it but the cable is 3 plus inches away from the wall at full travel that direction on y axis.

FYI, if you didnt know, bambu did a full recall on the bambu and wants to inform anyone using this product to immediately stop using the a1 untill further notice

@CarolinaNative yeah, I had seen the date and assumed you'd been contacted by now. I had meant my comment to be more humorous than it sounds reading it back now, stated in the assumption it would be read in the full knowledge of the issue by now. You must admit that in this video, you can see the issue. Especially if you had the unit that far from the wall. Despite that you can see the cable flexing and moving with each stroke of the bed. It's a real shame that a simple design decision like cable routing could have such dangerous consequences once the product goes from the lab to the real world. Especially with such an otherwise great printer. I also have to commend Bambu on their great response to this issue. Many other manufacturers wouldn't have been (and haven't) as fast and thorough in their response.

@@ChristopherGaul Yeah no worries. Looking at the videos I can see where it looks like the cord is hitting. By this time I already had the 3D printed strain relief installed that Bambu lab put out. This was my first 3D printer and yeah I thought it was kinda weird how the cable flexed but what do i know. Yeah I'm impressed with how Bambu Lab has handled this. I'll be getting 100% refund, I mean I bought a X1C to replace the A1 so I'm happy with the company. But again thanks again to everyone looking out for everyone else with serious stuff like this. It's great.

Hey thanks for your kind words. No, I’ve sent it back for a refund. But I ordered an X1C as an upgrade. But I still have a handful of videos from A1 to upload.

Hey thanks for the concern. It doesn't look it at that angle but with the bed in full travel towards the wall there is still at least 3 inches of space between the cable and the wall.

I'm sorry for that. I'm trying to find a balance of how fast to speed up videos, cause I know no one wants to watch a 6 hour real time video. I'll try and get it sorted out.

Thanks for checking. I've inspected it per their blog and it seems ok. I've already submitted a ticket with several pictures just in case and printed and installed the stress relief they came up with. Also it may not show in video but the cable is at least 2 inches from touching wall at full bed travel in that direction.

Well I got an email from Bambu last night. Looks like they are asking ALL A1 owners to stop printing while they work out a fix. I have 5 or 6 prints already recorded, I'll start doing weekly uploads so I still have some content on here. Frustrating but honestly I'm happy with how they are handling it versus just ignoring it.

Yeah I saw the recall. I checked the back where it plugs into the base like they suggested and mine looks fine. Submitted a ticket with photos just in case. I'm printing the stress relief now. Or are you saying the orientation of my cable while running is bad?

​@@CarolinaNative For me it's the bending cable and hitting the wall while printing, its not the best position to work in my experience.
