I think the Alien book would be half the size if it was printed in two-column text. Instead it has page after page of black space with small text boxes.

Lovely video. I find that chamfering the sockets with a pin vice and glueing the pins makes for a better build than just the pins. This includes the connection point at the black base. Sure it increases the build time, but I’d rather spend it making more stable miniatures.

Looks cool and love their policy to only crowdfund fully developed games. I don't like they hide fundamental gods like Anubis and Ra in expansions, though (same thing as with Odin in MBR). Also, seems a bit pricey, judged on its own and compared to previous campaigns. First to base boxes I paid 150 Euro per Core + SG in the War of the Gods pledge, sleeves, shipping and VAT included. This Core + SG looks to be 170 - 180 Euro after shipping and VAT, no sleeves included. That's nuts. Meanwhile, MBR Core + SG currently is being sold on multiple german retail webstores for 130 - 140 Euro. Most logical is to wait for retail and hope enough other people back to fill up the SGs, sadly... was sure I would pull the trigger on this campaign beforehand.

I almost would prefer for them to go back in time when minis were not as detailed, but cheaper, where you had to just kit bash the detail on😂….Maybe they should start doing a budget range or maybe actually do som good sale deals for a change , hey maybe even have a trade in system, like when you buy a codex and then a week later they bring a new one out, you should be able to trade in for money off, but what do I know… cheers for the vid

The real issue is the manufacturing base. GW manufacture in UK. Airfix has also raised prices. Now people are switching to European manafacturers. Like Heller, ICM for aircraft military models. Tamiya is increasing markets in Europe. As for GW, companies like Archon studios will gain ground and others will grow as prices drive people away.

Price increase time again, you mean every week mate don't you? Of course GW aren't immune from the world's economy, but they are pretty immune from worrying about their fans and have been rocketing prices for years, certainly since I got back into the hobby in 2018.

Everyone is doom and misery and forgetting the very simple factor: You can still use and play with your models. Got them unbuilt and unpainted? You can still paint them. Got the Rulebook? Can still play it. etc. Or finally, proxies have been a thing since day 1. Warhammer has always been a hobby of workarounds. Get over yourselves. So sick and bored of the negativity, especially when people constantly moan about unit bloat, and the need for new sculpts.

Its painful to see all these gorgeous models going away, but Slaves to darkness still have the same old 20 year old chaos marauders...

We make your stuff out-of-date so you buy our new stuff - that costs a relative fortune and is just about never in stock anyway. Err, no. Having just sourced all the Necromunda rules and books I don't own online for free (literally today), you might tell I'm a bit sick of GW feeling the need to empty my bank account or frustrate me with unavailable or only direct-from-them products. It's got very old mate. I have enough games, minis and terrain and I just find rules etc. for free now. I don't feel guilty because GW have zero empathy for me and I've spent a four figure sum on their gear.

Why buy any of the new stormcast models or warcry warbands? Who knows if they'll wiped from the game (s) in 1-5 years?

To be honest, this is another reason to support other manafacturers. I personally prefer the first edition stormcast. Will not get rid of mine.
