Are you sure Robin was singing when he was pretending to sing? 😉 I’ve often thought that when Barry and Robin sing together Barry’s voice smooths out Robin’s and it just sounds like Barry’s voice. I can’t pick out Robin’s voice most of the time. But I can Barry’s. But in this case Robin’s voice really isn’t here. I also really love when Barry isn’t behind a guitar. He shouldn’t have been, more often, so he could do his cool moves that Robin use to try to copy. Barry’s eyes are so expressive. They’re bright like lamplight. Sometimes he seems kind of out of it. 🤭
Did you notice in this & other performances, Barry touches his thumb to his pointer finger? I've heard others mention it (& guess Robin would do it too), but of course Barry could only do it when he wasn't playing guitar. Think playing guitar since 9 led to his back problems, along with playin tennis later in life.
@@kthor Yes, I also noticed that he puts his fingers together while singing without a guitar ❤️ I find it so cute because he did it 🥰 Another thing I noticed is that if he wears a jacket, he always puts his hand in the lower right pocket of the jacket, I don't know if this is related to smoking or not 😊

This is one of those early songs where Barry and Robin’s voices sounded like one voice then went to harmony and back to sounding like one voice again! Loved when they do this! This is an incredible ability these brothers had. And then there’s Maurice who steps in with that third harmony just at the right moment! Wow! Then those lyrics!! So beautiful! Genius!

Barry was 26 here and hot as hell. This song is amazing and quite unbelievable. Barry said he does not remember writing this song for whatever reason he just forgot doing it. I found that to be very interesting and odd. Maybe he took some drugs as he did admit to doing some in a lower capacity than most musicians. Anyway, it is a great and beautiful song. I love Barry and he is a genius musician and song writer. He and his brothers harmonized very well together and were way better than the Beatles ever.
