Thank you for your comment. Please try to increase the video resolution from youtube video settings, quality at 480p or 720p. I just checked the video on my laptop and the schematics and arduino sketch are clearly visible. I would also wish to inform you that my arduino circuit has two problems : 1. If you start first the receiver the motors start spinning until you actuate the first time the transmitter; I should initialize to zero the motors speed in the sketch . 2. As you see in the receiver schematics, there are two separate +9V voltage supply pins. That means you have to use two 9V batteries, otherwise the motors doesn't work. I don't know why, I am far from being an arduino expert, I made this circuit for my 3D printed tank project I'm working on now. If you could find a solution to use only one voltage supply for the arduino and L293D it would be great. Best regards !

@@3D_Shamrock you can run 9v to VIN pin on arduino and pin 8 on l293d from the same battery. Then from arduino 5v pin to l293d pin 16

Thank you for your suggestion. In fact I tried but it didn't worked, except using two batteries. It is true, I used cheap arduino nano clones and further more, I connected the nrf24l01 directly to the arduino 3V voltage supply (it is recommended that the rc module should have a separate voltage supply). When I was using a single battery supply for all components I used serial monitor and I noticed that the signal from the transmitter was received properly, but still the motors were not running. Anyway the two batteries voltage supply is working for sure because I tested as you may see in the video. Unfortunately I have not deep electronics knowledge, I am a 3D printing passionate.

@@3D_Shamrock look for LM78L33 regulator. They supply 100ma of current and is size of small transistor

@@3D_Shamrock also use 10 microfarad capacitor to power and ground close to nrf24l01 module

Thanks ! I you wish to build the model for display only it's ok. But if you want an RC model 1/16 it is the right scale.

For the moment I have two projects : Tiger 2 and Horch 1A at 1/16 scale RC models using Arduino. It will take a while ... I will consider modelling the Schwimmwagen in the future also.

3D Shamrock Horch 1A sounds good as well, another soft skin to add to my growing collection. Will follow along with interest Florin.

I am going to re-model the kubelwagen at 1/16 scale adding all the features for an RC model, more detailed. I will try to find a solution for the roof. I am working now on a tank.

Got the files for this one, and will probably get the remodelled files as 1/16th is my preferred scale and I have always fancied an RC Kublewagen or Schwimmwagen to run round. Will watch your channel with interest for further updates.

I will buy and try this model also, probably will add a back row of seats and some trunk cover

Hi, the stl files are at 1:1 scale. So you may downsize at any scale you wish. However, I made the models having in mind the 1/20 scale, to fit on my Anycubic I3 Mega. And anyway, for making an RC model some modifications are necessary on the rear axles to be able to fit the motors. Now I'm working on an RC tank, I hope I will post the model this month.

3D Shamrock Thanks for the prompt reply. I hope to print two G4s one as a static display model for an RC tank club I belong to and the other I will probably only use the upper body and mount an adapted WPL chassis, axles and gearbox as the running gear as these fit in with our 1/16th scale RC tanks. Check out our page on Facebook R/C tankregiment. Lots of stuff and useful links on there that may be useful if you plan to 3D print a tank.

This are the printing time from CURA : table element - 2.5 h x 11 pieces = 27.5 h leg - 2.2 h x 22 pieces = 48.4 h, insert - 0.6 h x 11 pieces = 6.6 h, bolt - 0.6 h , handle - 1.5 h, holder - 2 h, spacer - 0.75 h Total : 87.35 h The effective printing time is about 10% more that one CURA gives
