@samw2670 It depends on your point of view. If you're used to the default render mode that makes everything overly dark, blurry, and void of much color, then yeah, it might look too bright to you. Many of us here if you notice the comments however prefer Insane render mode.

@@MrFragManiac ruins the aesthetic of GOW. Suppose to be dark and gloomy. Its a horror game after all.

@@samw2670 Well, like I said, it's a matter of preference and opinion. The devs wouldn't be offering several different render modes if they felt it's "supposed" to look a certain way. They leave it up to the player, which I think shows they're understanding that not everyone is going to like that look. IMO there's a LOT more to horror than just the lighting, and if it took dark lighting just to set a mood, there would be something gimmicky about the need to use it to feel immersed.

@@samw2670 you're assuming that it was so grey cause of artistical choices but most of the time the filters were used to hide problems(not that i find it bad) gears of war 2 for example use another filter with more colors

@thatguyyouknowtheone4073 Actually it's not as hard as I made it look. For some reason I can often handle the boss fights that everyone says are the toughest battles easier. It's usually because I'm too busy keeping track of multiple foes to remember to use the Force Powers. The ones like Lift, Slam, and Confuse can keep you from getting overwhelmed.

@over9000lord Thanks, yeah I barely caught the bottoms of the 3 green shields at the end. I'm not sure whether I would have been able to do another double jump after that last wall run before dashing though. Many times I've just fallen with such attempts.😧

@MrFragManiac yeah, no matter what angle i looked at it, they were different. I got it though, the video stil helped cuz i had difficulty with the turn but forgot about using the grapple

@@slwgekte Great that you got it anyway, and glad that the video helped.👍 I'm still having a hard time figuring what it must have looked like. I've never seen any of the wingsuit rings laid out any differently for other's on vids of theirs I watched after completing them all.

@kevinbuchanan67 Thanks, I'm not 100% sure there isn't an easier way. I've seen some do this section by running past the 4th guy I sneak killed to sneak kill the Summoner instead, which takes less ammo. I'm not sure that's possible on Hardcore mode though. My mind's telling me I vaguely recollect seeing their vids before and trying it that way and failing on Hardcore, but my mind tends to play tricks on me for some time as I get older. I'll probably try it their way on Hardcore and Professional next play through just to see.

That would take all the fun out of it IMO. I don't feel it's too hard to lure her to smash down the doors, and the whole point of playing these types of games is to experience some good old shock value. 😉

@@MrFragManiac I was only just trying to help you guys completely the tomb mission quicker that’s all sorry look be careful then because those Berserkers are too deadly to be near around but trust me at least using the grenades can get those stupid doors out of our way quicker as long as we aim them and throw them right next to the steel doors and then kaboom the doors fall down and we can get to each room and then into the courtyard to lunch the Hammer on her in pentyl time to spare oorah all the way.

@@drewharding I save my grenades for sealing up emergence holes. I've beaten the game on Insane, from what's shown in the video, do I LOOK like someone that's scared of a blind monster and needs to waste grenades? Just git gud dude!

@@MrFragManiac I've beaten the game on insane a few times, it's more fun to use the hammer for a split second then kill her with grenade tagging.

Usually if loading the last checkpoint doesn't fix the problem it means that checkpoint save has been corrupted. If playing on PC you can try doing a SFC scan, but chances are it won't fix the problem. Your only way around it if that save is corrupted is likely to replay the whole mission.

In my head I was thinking of dialog responses from the squad when Baird ends, his Berserker tutorial with "..she can SMELL us." Then one of the guys says, "Do we smell good?", and Marcus replies, trust me, you DO NOT want to smell "GOOD" right now!"

Yeah, sorry, it's my 2nd time through the game and I didn't think the conversation would be that interesting to viewers. Honestly, the stuff Robo says during just minor side missions is more amusing though.

It's been a LONG time since I played the game, but I vaguely recall I may have backtracked to get there a different way. I'm not sure on that though, sorry.

You're welcome, glad you could make use of it. Normally I tell people to use the map a lot to avoid missing combat areas, but Urdak is kind of another story as you have to do those super long hoop boost jumps to get to them, so I don't think they're as easy to see on the map. Hope you didn't blow the monkey bar landing like I did, LOL

It helps to distract them to force them to look a certain direction first. After trying that a few times you get the feel of what you can and can't get away with regarding their peripheral vision.

Most definitely, especially on patch 1.0.6.0 for me. They just had a massive update to 1.0.2.0 though, which fixes the crashes some were having and also adjusts texture streaming so that it doesn't use as much of your CPU. I did two whole play throughs on 1.0.6.0 though, and had only one very minor bug and just one crash the first play through, which I feel was my having minimized the game for some time while doing something else, because the 2nd play through it didn't crash at all. At any rate 1.0.2.0 should fix the crashes some were having. I'll report back after playing a bit more on 1.0.2.0, I've only played the intro so far on that version.
