TURBO LS400 Build. Episode 2
Continuing the turbo series. Our intercooler has arrived along with our blowoff valve. There is a lot to be measured cut and fitted in this one.
These are the final steps before we start fabrication! I am very much enjoying this build, and I hope all of you at home are enjoying the videos.

MY Dodge Charger (Maximus aka Maxi) was hit from behind in a 3-car collision. The damage is bad, and people were hurt. thankfully, everyone survived, but unfortunately, I don't think we can continue to modify maxi.

Where'd you buy the FRONT flex disc? I literally bought 3 from ebay and got the rear one each time, the one with holes (despite the pictures showing the front style ones). I've been running it on the front for a couple months lol ...everything is fine but rather have the right part installed!
When I had it apart, the flex discs looked identical, it's possible I may be running 2 rear discs or maybe they're the same. I'm not entirely sure
@@THEONLYWAY117 The holes on the new flex discs i bought are bigger than the holes the the flex disc that was on the car. I think both the front and rear are the same when i look at it.... But now im noticing one of yours had the bigger holes too. I guess its fine lol + it was a PITA to replace especially on the floor
run it, break it, fix it and repeat. Circle of the car life lol, bright side is that it always gives room for more improvement when fixing them back up.
That's why I wasn't too upset when it broke, I knew something would give eventually
For that one-tire fire of a donut attempt: next time, either A: weld the differential, or B: swap in a limited-slip differential. I personally would do the latter to preserve drivability.

Subscribed* quick question. Did you buy 1995+ knuckles/spindle ? Or is it a straight bolt on to the 1gen knuckle ?
straight bolt on. i should mention youll need washers for ther caliper bolts because theyre a little too long and will scrape the rotors

That’s the problem with this car even if they release any cool body kits everyone is so quick to buy and it’s usually thousands of dollars and by the time you got the money to buy it it’s out of stock so tired of that shit
you and me both. if i ever make it big on youtube ill try to develop an ls400 body kit similar to the ones in the video

What all did u need for the upgrade? I have the calipers already but not sure what else I'll need. How is this upgrade working out for you?

Hey man! I have a 92, going to pick up 96 front calipers from a yard in two days, just wondering what brake lines you upgraded to? Did you have any issues with using the later brake lines on the earlier car? Or just threads right on? Also for the lower control arm, is it just the 2 17s that need to come out and then hammer it ?
I left the original brake lines on the car. And yes there should be 2 17mm bolts and the outter tie rod holding it on
How many mileage your Lexus ls400? Mine is 1990 Lexus ls400 139k mile brought from one owner for 30 years. right now I just own that car for 2 and 5 months from right now.
Well over 500k closer to 600k miles on my ls400. Odometer stopped working in 2013

Nice lol I just replaced my transmission and blew the c clip off the propeller shaft in the rear end. Weld your differential Edit You need at least BC low coils if not bags. get NRCA and modded is300 ball joints so you have more steering angle when you start to spin out in the rain at 60 mph. Also be nice to your car because it's not exactly cheap or fun to work on this car. I have a burgundy '91. Did you block your EGR? Does the car have working o2 sensors? Your drive line can be stressed if the bushings are all original through the subframe. Sounds meant

What did you have to change out or was it just straight bolt on ?
Lower ball joint and wheel spacers to clear the calipers
For sure you used new ls400 ball joints ?? And witch spacers ?

Yes, all new 1995+ ls400 ball joints
Make sure you get the correct wheels
You have an open differential. One wheel is posi traction. And your body roll is insane. Get some springs, like someone mentioned previously, weld that differential. Get some sway bars please. Then get a muffler. Flowmaster Super 44’s. You are welcome. Jesus. It’s like everything that you need to complete that look you got in your head.
Sway bars are needed, coils needed maybe weld the diff. Mufflers never. Although i 100% agree it would sound 1000% cleaner and better. I just love the raw sound. Barbaric if you will.
@@THEONLYWAY117 I can’t knock it. I got a Volvo S60-R with strait pipe, no resonator/muffler. On the other hand, I have a supercharged Mustang that was so loud, I have 4 cats and resonators. Sounds insane. 😂 Respect the build bro.
