I think for most hobbyists either a Casio or a Yamaha PSR-E4 series keyboard is good enough especially if your playing skills are mediocre but if an entry level keyboard doesn't cut it then the Yamaha PSR-SX700 should be good enough for the majority of musicians. But flagship arranger keyboards like the Korg PA-5X, Yamaha Genos 2 or even a second hand arranger keyboard like Tyros 4 or Tyros 5 are only worth it if either you have a well paid job or you are a one man band or songwriter who makes money from using a flagship keyboard as the flagship keyboards are really designed to earn their owners more than enough money to cover the expensive cost of the instrument and the high price also discourages people buying an arranger keyboard for the wrong reasons like if your into midi sequencing then the most obvious option is to get a midi controller, a DAW and VST instruments like Halion 7, Sampletank or Kontakt or even better Komplete by Native Instruments. Or if you prefer hardware then either a second hand Yamaha Motif, a Montage M an MODX or other brands like the Roland Fantom or Korg Nautilus but a second hand Korg Kronos is still a really good investment.
