Lake Tahoe Without Water!
Kids, this is a computer graphic movie taking you on a cruise of a virtual Lake Tahoe. Your boat is invisible, the lake water is invisible! What you see is a rendering in 360 of the lake bottom, called bathymetry, as measured by acoustic survey. The vertical heights are exaggerated so you can see the shape of the underwater landscape better.
As you cruise along the near shore and through the middle of the lake, you can look around to see various features. Notice the big chunks in the middle of the lake, and other underwater landslide features along the terraces lining the shore. Observe the ripple marks and other flow patterns. Look for displacements along fault lines!
This is your chance to do a little science. Develop questions about what you see. Good science always starts with good questions.

hey, that's a lot a fun. Good information. I can appreciate the effects - I made videos in the mid 80s. you had a good camera, that's for sure. Dissolves were a bitch to do, and you have a lot more in this. I think the thing I took away from the 80's is that synth music is cheesy, doesn't hold the test of time well. The rest does fine.
