He got the Lakers head coaching job for a reason. To your point, he was severely over tasked in that role but the acumen speaks for itself. Learning for Kerr is nothing to sneeze at. He’s been a good assistant for years, and when the rest of the league thinks you deserve a spot on the bench, then it’s probably true.

@@Antonio-h7c not sure Fultz would want to come off the bench with his minutes not guaranteed. Especially if J.B. staggers Cade and Ivey well. Plu, Fultz’s three-point shooting numbers aren’t at a level where he could play alongside Cade. Not impossible, but maybe somebody cheaper like DSJ would be a better fit at this moment. I know his shooting numbers aren’t great either, but he could bring some more defensive intensity.

@@Antonio-h7c I see where you’re coming from. But at the same time, maybe we would’ve picked up a back up point guard by now if we plan on getting one. Maybe the fact that we have gone this long without signing one means that Jaden is going to be coming off the bench?

@@Antonio-h7c same can be said about Fultz, but if we sign either of them, I’d be content. Both have something to prove at this point in their career. While I think DSG might be a little cheaper, if we’re willing to spend the extra money for Fultz would be an interesting pick up. I still think we’re holding onto that money to be a team in another potential trade

Going to be interesting to see what happens this offseason. He needs to clan up some of his game for sure, and really needs to work on his defense. The unfortunate part about it all is he's such a decent human being, and his work ethic is extremely high. Hopefully that work ethic can help him vastly improve before next season.

Truly appreciate the kind words! Also appreciate you sharing your thoughts! I agree we need a wing and if we do decide to move off of Ivey, I also agree it should be a wing. Though I am not sure if I’m super high on the Zach Collins idea at the moment, I would most certainly love Griffin and/or Hunter on this team. Would also be a steal if we could fleece Herb Jones off the Pelicans. But AJ and Hunter are the more realistic choices. I hope Grimes can get healthy and get back to who we need him to be for next season. With him and Simone alongside Cade, spacing and shot making, will hopefully be less of a concern. As for the draft, I am open to Sarr joining the team. A bigger guy who can move his feet and shoot a little bit from the outside would be nice. I also think he could play alongside Duren if Sarr can hit the 3 at a respectable clip. One of our other hosts, Gabe, is high on Rob Dillingham a guy who’s shot making ability is what i heard could be the best in the class. He is a little undersized at 6’3, but hes not afraid of contact which is a plus. Another guy I think to watch is Zachary Risacher who’s a 6’8-6’10 guy who can do a little of everything. He didn’t perform well during the spring and summer, but he apparently made some great strides. Hoop Intellect does a fantastic breakdown of all these guys, and it all depends on where we land after the lottery. This draft class may not have a clear 1 pick, but it will be fun to see where guys end up!
