Another awesome module. The E440 has a thick, dense character that I've not heard anywhere else. Hopefully these demos will give you some idea of how it sounds. If you would like to support my work, consider becoming a patreon: www.patreon.com/AiynZahev

Its still relevant today in 2024
Great review! Nice distortion trick!
This can do it all plus make plastic farts and angry donkey bray. Legit beast of a VCO.
I would have liked it when you would have showed the Sustain and Release outputs on the scope as well. Very informative though! Thanks!
I'm sorry... I thought you would get seperate Attack, Sustain and Release outs... but it's, as you said, 2 positive outs and 1 negative out... Good idea though, for my own module ;-) Also at first glance I thought you would get CV control over A(not D)SR...
Thank you very much for the info!
Pure bliss, and what a well put together demo. Took me months to finally find one in the UK, but well worth the wait. 2022 and still one of the best filters ever. Thanks for this enlightening video 🙏
Such a good demo, half technical and half musical, and thorough. I really feel like I know if I want this module now (and I do haha). I will check out your other videos!
You just made me buy one haha
Great sounding module and demo. Loved the wavetable mode and using one wavetable to modulate the other. Now i just need fund and rackspace.
just picked up my e440 directly from Paul. so excited to add it.
Great demo thx!
Aah, dammit. I’m in the market for a nice, unique and capable oscillator. And this tickles in all the right places xD
This is a way better demo than the video on Roland's channel.
really really good demo!
Thanks so much for the amazing tutorial - Can you give me a bit more on a run down on whats happening at 10:30 (sorry pretty new to eurorack) am I right to think nothing is happening with the FM CV in?
Actually the FM CV in is being used here. I have an extremely short decay envelope plugged in from the Maths2, and what this does is create a sharp but short pitch rise and fall, creating a percussive click.
looks like it has been awhile since you made a modular video. This is a masterclass in showing what a module can do. Hope you can share some more, but in the meantime, thank you for this. Hope you're doing ok.
Dude. You went fucking deeeeeep. I love this! Impressed
hi what track is that at 5.15 ? thanks
Sexy
Been crammin' demos as of late, well done rinse of unit✌️we share your yum!
this is very cool
I also own the same module but I find hard to use it as a classic vca/enveople and at the same time route in the rest CV other mods. For example if I send on the second cv an LFO u can hear the effect in the overall sound but when the key is unpressed the LFO continues to cycle where I would want to it stop like my envelopes. Am I doing something wrong?
I also own a 521 and im thinking to get the E440, love your review on that one! Do you think they are great pair for a system ? also thinking about the AJH.
10 min. mark was lovely , getting one if for sure ...I find one
I thought black cloud was a mono in stereo out algorithm? How’d you get the stereo input working? It sounded like panning.
Awsome module and great video! I'm torn between this and the piston honda mk3. This one has more features. 🤔
Great demo! I do believe this is going to be my first physical effects unit, gorgeous sounds.
impressive
I just bought this modules thanks to this fantastic video and I’m mighty impressed with the E330. I have it next to my,much more expensive, hertz donut mk3 and piston honda mk3 and I like it even more. So easy to use, fantastic build quality and dirt cheap used.
Woah! Simply awesome 🙏
Wow.. what an Intro! Love it
Where do you plug the outputs into?
8:06 Stop! You're hurting it!
lmfao i'm dying
@ 7:50: GARY! GARY!
Thanks for the video! Can anyone tell me if this module’s ext trigger input is normalled from the first envelope to the second, please?
Newbie question: what is plugged on the other side of the blue cables ?
At 6:43 you have a sequence playing but where is the trig in?
Great vid! What type of signal did you input on the 1 V/O at min 5:00?
where did you get that beautiful makenoise maths 2? looks way better than the original in my opinion
Looks like just a custom panel. Someone was sick of looking at Make Noise's scribbly, jagged writing. Haha. I'm sure you can buy one of these for your own.
One of the best filters in Eurorack I've ever heard. Want!
Also check out the ACL Discrete Core Ladder. Both sounds sweet to me. This one for the price though... No brainer.
9:00 Instant Deadmau5
Always wanted an E340 specifically for a trace sound but this can do it just as well plus a billion other things! 100% sold! :D
Not cheap but sounds extremely good!
How does this compare to livewire frequensteiner? That would be my first choice of a filter but they are impossible to find
You are great at using your modules to get great sounds. I await your next video
That filter is genuine Roland sound. And I desperately need an E-330
Great demo, I just bought one of these after watching this demo. I will put it next to my E-340 [ :---)
Sliders are just laterally sloppy by design...on every synth. The 100m system from Roland back in the early 70's had sliders that wiggled. If you pull the plastic cap off the 540 ADRS module, the pole is flat and thin, and naturally can bend or wiggle..
debating this vs Intellijel dual adsr. I do like Malekko gear
Thank you for using nylon washers!
