Late to this party, 03MAR24. In my youth I had a Standard Twin that was converted to a 4wheel ride on. I cut my teeth on it. If I may, I'd offer that mine worked well with chains on the tires. And my moldboard plow had a coulter wheel on it so it left a very "pretty" land side of the furrow. And Also Too; if I may: That's a pretty big field for a Standard Twin 2 wheel tractor. But, plowing is one of my most favorite jobs to do. PERIOD. Thank you for posting a piece of my past. ben/ michigan

Only resto mistake I see is the light-colored wooden steering wheel rim. These were always japanned (a quick application of black stain) from the factory.

Amazing! Load sensing, and automatically starts and shuts down without a single microchip or board! To kids today it would be mind blowing, we had this kind of technology back in the 1920s and 30s! Awesome to see her up and sounding so healthy!

I miss him and that old tractor very much wish I could have kept it ! Some where in Michigan it's still alive I been told . Nothing to me beats the sound of that old tractor I will never forget it ! Thumbs up totally !

Fuller & Johnson was ahead of their time with the design of these light plants. There are many details in their construction which wouldn't show up in other light plants until several years later, such as the elimination of the front crank bearing and integration of the governor and oil pump drive into the front housing to save space. The fuel pump is even built-in to the carburetor.

To my knowledge convertible twins were. Made post war & that carb is way older than ur machine. That style was used on early single cylinder tractors.

My family had a few of these ZXB engines bought as military surplus and used to drive grain augers in Australia, they are the most beautiful smooth running and torquey engine, could sit for years and pump the primer lever on the fuel pump a few times and half a turn of the crank handle and off they go.
