You shouldn't have to cut the cable tie. Just take out the screw and then pull the two pieces of metal away from eachother before moving it down.

Other Brands have to look exactly in front of the fixture of each light via IR which is really annoying! One favour please! Add the maxis v2 into Chamsys Magic Q fixture library. I own 2 Ape Labs Connect as well. Great job!

Connect or W-App is required for firmware updates on regular Ape Labs fixtures (v1 or 2.0). New ones that say "Plus" on the back, can be updated directly from your phone without the Connect. The older ones didn't have hardware to connect directly via bluetooth.

Then you can't participate at this time, we recommend purchasing for a multitude of reasons but this is the biggest one - here is a link bit.ly/alusa-connect

Within the App, go to Programs. You can create one program as a chase of "Color - Blackout - Color - Blackout", and another as "Blackout - Color - Blackout - Color". Then when you play both programs on different groups, they alternate.

@@Ziggy_v2 If the developers can fit another button on the home page that fits on all devices, we will. In the meantime, the Speed slider allows you to create strobe effects with some built in dimming curve built in. You can cut the dimming curve out by creating programs and adding 'blackout' into the program, if you want.

Yes, Amber is one of the presets. Candlelight and other shades of Amber can be mixed with the W-App or with DMX. However, in a few days, we will be announcing our "2.0 Series", which has dramatic improvements and multiple versions of both candlelight and amber in the presets.

@@paulparrinello2526 I'd recommend contacting your favorite Ape Labs dealer. We got inventory in today, but it all ended up shipping out to Ape Labs dealers. It looks like we're still behind, catching up with dealer orders, but hopefully some of our dealers have Maxis that aren't pre-sold. The good news is that in March, we expect a very large quantity of inventory to arrive.

Thank you for your comments. We are aware of the safety measures that the competitors use for fire protection. These are similar to the fire protection methods that Samsung and many other manufacturers use. They certainly help, but are far from fool-proof. While batteries catching fire in our industry are rare, it's not as rare as you would think. And it's not just the knock-off brands that have had issues. There are reports of battery fixtures catching fire from the major lighting brands as well. With that said, the safety of our products is not what we believe brings the most value to the table. We agree that clients will pay the same for uplighting regardless of the brand. That is why we worked so hard at keeping our German made fixtures priced right in line with all the Chinese competitors. Aside from a longer warranty and higher build quality, we believe the real value stems from the amount of time/labor our customers can safe during set-up, programming, and break-down. Thanks for the comment. We actually started this comparison video before the ADJ Elements Series were announced. ADJ did announce their Elements fixtures just before we finished the video, but we didn't think the comparison was really needed. The Elements fixtures are very similar to the Chauvet Freedom Series....just with lower specs. Chauvet actually posted a comparison chart showing the differences between their Freedom Series and ADJ's Elements Series. While ADJ fixtures are less expensive, the Chauvet fixtures did win (spec-wise) on all accounts...according to the published specs from each manufacturer. So we didn't think they were needed in this comparison video anyway.

Thanks for the comments. So, to go thru them one at a time: We went with the Freedom Quad IP version because we wanted to show at least one other weather resistant fixture in the comparison chart we made. The Chauvet Freedom IP appeared to be the most popular one on the market. I may have received incorrect info, but I was told that the old (smaller) Eternal remote was discontinued and doesn't work with the new lights anyway, so we had to go with the "plus" one to test, as the fixture we were testing was a new one. When these fixtures were designed in Germany, everyone was asking for "smaller and lighter with the same output as the big ones". In an attempt to keep everyone happy, Ape Labs added a Kensington lock to the housing. That way, if you're worried about theft and prefer a larger/heavier fixture, you can lock a weight to our Maxi and make it as big and heavy as you want. You can also lock it to a post, wall, or another fixture. (Or, lock a broken China light from one of our competitors to it...just kidding.) Yes, great point! Leaving uplights on during clean-up certainly makes it easier. We tell guys to do a long press on the left "Group" button on the remote (so you're hitting all of the groups), then tap the "Speed Up" button to make them all strobe. We understand the pricing of the charging cases are a bit higher than our competitor's...but our cases are made in Germany (not China) and they have cordless charging. Also, rather than buying them on their own, we recommend buying TourPacks of the Maxis which include (6) Maxis, (1) Remote, and (1) Case. If you were going to get the lights and remote anyway, this bring the street price on these cases down to $296...which is almost half of what they sell for on their own.

Another reason why we chose to compare the Freedom Par Quad-4IP with the Maxi rather than the Freedom Par Quad-4 was because the IP version was rated at 40 Watts while the regular version was only rated at 20 Watts. We wanted to take on the more powerful version from Chauvet.
